Slightly off topic here....

But I was tuning into the Kings vs Rockets game and a few players with Milwaukee ties stood out and showed out and another for the Kings who
is a warrior and surely plays to win (Ron Artest) who I think was being showcased tonite...

I noticed as a sidenote that neither Mike Bibby nor Kevin Martin were in the game the last 3 minutes of a close game and every pass went to Ron Artest in crunch time...

It is obvious he is being showcased. Watch for a trade by the Kings real soon I believe...

However, back to the stars of the day. Tracy McGrady found Steve at the top of the key as the shot clock was winding down and Novak did what we can't get any Bucks' player to do with the game on the line...He knocked down a big time jumper!

Nice to see...two homeboy's doing their thing and doing it well! Great to see!

Carl Landry...I love this young man's energy! Like I said weeks ago he is a guy you have to get if you do any deal with the Rockets as was being rumored his play is affectious (<<<an a or e?)as is Novak.

And lastly but not least one of the most unsung former Bucks' and most improved players in the last 3-4 years in the entire league no one talks about is Rafer Alston!

I hated when the Bucks' traded or let him go in favor of that nut Cassell when I felt he was our PG of the future. Grunfeld messed up on Alston and Allen if you ask me.

I would trust all 3 of these guys with our team moving forward. You know where their hearts are and they lay it on the line every game! They flat out REPRSENT...and get it done with pride, professionalism and hustle!

Totally unlike the losers and characters of this present outfit who we call a team! A little love and shout out to this Texas trio...

Novak, Landry, and Alston ...winners every one of them. I wonder where those Houston trade rumors have gone? Perhaps south.

McGrady is not going anywhere, but I would take any of those three in it package in a heartbeat. Someone suggested Battier, Scola and Landry...I love it.

PS: Checkout that game if you can...it was a battle!

In total agreement with you MBBOWT, Landry was the only guy I wanted in any T-Mac deal. Nice to see Novak and Alston step up...

i believe the word you are looking for is infectious. i've always thought that guys from wisconsin had great effort and talent, and have wanted to see the bucks (and pack) take guys from the state since guys like michael finley and troy vincent. they just always seem to work hard, and pan out better than whoever we take.

I too totally want to see Chris Mihm in a bucks uni, or maybe Sprewell will get the job done.

MBBOT ,you dont know how rockets fans love Landry ,his nickname now is Lord, because PF has been always the most weak position of rockets for seasons ,now come Landry and Scolar ,you can imagine why fans are entranced with landry ,if there will be a trade between rockets and bucks ,
landry and scolar ,No way ! Novak ,maybe ,but white men like him ,they are on the wagon of Novak ,(SORRY,this isnt race diacrimination ,you know ,im also a person of color ) , alston ,impossibe !because PG also is rockets' weakness ,if he traded ,houston would have no good PG although rockets fans always bash skip to my lou ,houston should have no interest in Mo !(sorry ,i must say ,Mo isnt a good pg). maybe this trade need a third team .

Rafer was drafted by the Bucks and that is his only real connection.
He was a Queens streetball product who was best known for his stint with And1 as Skip2MyLou. The biggest knock on him was flashy undisciplined play and poor basketball IQ. He became a much better player under the guidance Jeff VanGundy who was a disciplinarian.

Had he stayed in Milwaukee he'd be an average NBA guard at best.

He's not atop my list of guards because of his less than average ability to defend. The only way he makes an impact on defense is if he steals an errant pass. His shot has become more consistent this year but his shot selection for the last two years have been atrocious. He's been known to jack up shots similar to Redd.

He's only good on the Rocket's team because Houston needs a distributor and a consistent ballhandler who is not turnover prone. Beyond that he has NO edge over their rookie Aaron Brooks.

IMO, Houston would not package Rafer for Mo. They are logjammed at guard (Rafer, James, Brooks, Snyder, Francis) and would only package them for an upgrade. Mo is NOT an upgrade to a healthy Francis, James or Alston.

Landry was born in Milwaukee but we all know he is a Boilermaker at heart.
Rockets won't give him up even though he's an undersized 4.

If Bucks are desparate for a trade for someone who plays with heart why not try Alando Tucker? He hails from Wisconsin.

His value is down and Phoenix seems fairly settled at the 3 with Hill, Diaw, Piatkowski.
