Kohl disappointed with performance

Washington, D.C. - Milwaukee Bucks owner Herb Kohl said Thursday that he is disappointed his team hasn't played better this season.
"I think that's the word," Kohl said in an interview. "We're all disappointed that we haven't done better so far. I'm sure all of the players, coaches, everybody associated with the team, front office people, our fans, are disappointed we haven't done better so far. The season's not over."
The Bucks are entering the all-star break with a 19-34 record. Including last night's home loss to the New Orleans Hornets, the Bucks, who had visions entering the season of a playoff run, have lost four games in a row at home, and seven of the last eight.
Despite the poor record, Kohl said there were 29 games left in the season. And largely because the Bucks play in the weak Eastern Conference, there still is an outside chance to make the playoffs, even with a subpar .500 record.
What has to change? Kohl was asked. "We have to start winning games," he said. "That's primarily a function of playing better down the stretch. That's where we've lost so many of the games that we had a good chance to win. We haven't made it happen in the fourth quarter. Last night was a good example of that.
"We went into the fourth quarter tied against one of the best teams in the league. And we played them even almost entirely in the fourth quarter and lost the game in the last couple of minutes. Which has been plaguing us most of the year."
I'll have more on my interview with the Democratic senator in Friday's Journal Sentinel.

He's still clinging to the playoffs with the "The season's not over" quote.
Fantastic.

every season when we need him to step up as a NBA owner it becomes more and more evident that he only bought this team so he can continue being the senator....

If he's using the term 'disappointed' then don't expect any real changes. When he stops saying 'disappointed' and starts saying 'angry' and 'soul-searching' and 'self-examination', that's when I'll start thinking he's going to act.
'Disappointed' the team is losing is no different to not having sex on your birthday. Sure you're unhappy, but you aren't about to dump your girlfriend/wife over it.

So the almighty Kohl finally speaks about the team and then spouts the same old drivel. "Disappointed" "We have to win more games" "The season's not over".
Crap is crap.

The schedule is going to get easier when we're at home, we have teams like the Knicks and the Clippers coming to town...oh wait. Same old crap.

Well he did once wear a hat to a game. It was wild.

Not surprised to hear he's "disappointed." I would be too (hell, I am). The difference is, he probably thinks things can get better without changing anything. "We just need to win more games." Yea, okay Herby. They'll get right on that. They weren't trying until they heard you didn't approve.

I wonder if Don Walker or Charles Gardner ever ask him any tough questions in these interviews?
We all know what good questions would be. But I'm guessing the MJS guy simply says "Tell us what you think of the team's performance so far?"
The MJS guys tape the interview hoping that Kohl spews enough BS to take up 400 words. Then the MJS guys high five themselves that their work day is done. The intern will transcribe the tape into the story for tomorrow.
The equivalent of a reporter Homer Simpson asking questions of Burns. "Charles Gardner....oooohhh...look, there are some doughnuts over there for you at the BC hospitality table"

I was going to say, if you have as much money as he does, he has to buy a nicer hat. That thing looks like a Bucks free giveaway, and maybe that's what it was.

What has to happen? "We need to win more games".
HAHA. So the solution to losing is to just start winning more. Man, with that kind of brilliance you'd think we'd be right behind Boston right now.
Good grief. The guy is senile as hell.
