OT: Bibby to Atlanta Possible

Post#1 » by Andrew34r » Sat Feb 16, 2008 1:49 am

Well it looks like yet another team is making an effort to improve themselves...Atlanta and Sacremento are close to a deal that will send Mike Bibby to Atlanta for Sheldon Williams, Salim Stoudemire and some other garbage. Trade should be finalized by Monday.

Let me say that I wanted nothing to do with Bibby but ATTENTION SENATOR KOHL AND THE IDIOTS IN THE FRONT OFFICE. THERE ARE OTHER TEAMS THAT ARE ACTUALLY TRYING TO IMPROVE THEIR CHANCES OF WINNING!!! And I bet that the GM's of these teams did not have to go through five or six people to get permission to get this deal done!

I think this all but guarantees Artest to either Houston or Denver.

Oh Sorry. It was on a pre-game show on the Fox Sports Radio before the Rookie/Sophmore game. 2 NBA insiders reported that they were close to a deal.

Yep or probably any deal being made with Atlanta by us. How funny is it going to be when the Hawks make the playoffs and we dont!

Bibby really isn't a good player anymore.

So did I. Josh Childress would've looked nice as a Buck.

Of course, maybe we we made that offer and got turned down.

I heard that Sac wanted to send Artest to Denver for Kleiza and Najera but Karl does not want to part with Kleiza.

True

My guess is they'd rather have Mo, but Bibby won't require much in return and he has a shorter contract than Mo. Bibby is way overpaid at 14 million for next year, but on the flip side, it's a nice big tasty expiring.

I am not so sure you'd be right...if they want Mo they can get him, they didn't want him in free agency either.

I would welcome this trade. However, the moment our FO and Ownership actually do something will be a first. Right now all these guys have proven is they love to keep the salaries low. Hawks ownership hasn't shown even once they are committed to winning.

Can you guys give us Hawks' fans about the source of this rumor? Credibility of people who stated it?

Mike Bibby is making too much money this could have huge impact in resigning Childress and Josh Smith. Bibby is alot better then the crap point guards the Hawks have now. The Hawks have the worst group of point guards all of the NBA they need an upgrade so bad.

Again it was on Fox Sports Radio and two different NBA insiders reported this. I dont know their names off hand but they were in New Orleans for all star weekend and must be affiliated with FSR in some way.

Thanks, Andrew. I wasn't sure if you were talking about a national broadcast or the local Milwaukee station.
