Here are the teams that have made a trade (involving them acquiring a player playing in the NBA this season) since the last trading deadline.
The point being, they are trying to improve their teams somehow.

Detroit
Cleveland
Boston
Toronto
New Jersey
New York
Philadelphia
Miami
Charlotte
Atlanta
Orlando
Lakers
Golden State
Sacramento
Phoenix
Seattle
Portland
Denver
Utah
Minnesota
Dallas
Houston
Memphis

That's every team except for:

Chicago
Milwaukee
Indiana
Washington
Clippers
San Antonio
New Orleans

I just thought this would be interesting for people to see.

San Antonio did acquire Damon Stoudamire...not a trade but still a move to improve.

Thats a good point.
I know you really like to stick to details even if theyre really small so i just thought id throw this out there :P,
The Hornets acquired Bernard Robinson in a trade with the Nets right before this season. I know he technically hasnt played a minute this season, but as far as i can tell hes still on their roster. So I dont know if that really qualifies as playing in the NBA this season.
But still, its a very interesting list.

Yep - Bulls have not made an in-season trade since Nov 2003 (sending Jalen Rose to Toronto).

They havent made a trade of any kind since summer 2006 when they sent scrub Eddie Basden to Cleveland for scrub Martynas A.

Our GM is not really a trader

As you can see from my signature - not one player on the Bulls was acquired by a trade.

that is friggin unreal.......

Hey, you know I always like to stick to details :)
You are correct.

I decided the Bernard Robinson transaction didn't qualify for the reason you mentioned. I thought it would be disingenuous for me to put them on my first list, therefore.

And xTitan makes a good point about the Spurs and Damon Stoudamire. They might have made an in-season trade if they had not been able to sign him.

Bulls - Incompetence, they could have/should have moved for Gasol
Indiana - Probably indecision and the fact that they always have players injured so it's hard to tell who you should or shouldn't trade
Washington - Don't need a trade, playing really well and their best player has been out
Clippers - Probably should've made a trade but again another situation where their best player has been on the shelf
San Antonio - No trade needed
New Orleans - No trade needed

Bucks - ... yeah

Hmmm funny how we are on there with the Clippers.

But, IMO I would discount the Pacers since they swung a blockbuster last year with the Troy Murphy/Mike Dunleavyy acquisition

And correct me if I'm wrong, but technically (I know you like technical details) but I think the Wizards traded the rights for Juan Carlos Navarro to the Grizzlies for a second round pick or something like that.

So in my mind it's just us and the Clippers standing around with our you know what in our hands.

Who could the Bucks possibly get from a trade? They're not going to trade Redd, period. So they turned down Fat Zach. Good move. The team would still be in shambles even if the Randolph deal would've went down. This team is so bad. They don't have any trade leverage.

Yes, so as much as everyone hates it, I'd rather trade for expiring crap. What is the point of having 3 more years of locked up poo that doesn't play defense and has low basketball IQ instead of at least having some flexibility to try building it all over?

Yeah, but my breakdown is what have teams done SINCE the last trading deadline, which is why they are on my list.
It is more poignant this way because it shows that even more recently than going back prior to the last trading deadline, pretty much every team has attempted to bring in different players.

I do indeed like technical details.
But my breakdown has the requirement of a team acquiring a player that has played in the NBA this season, which is why the Wizards don't make the cut.

Say the Bucks made the trade and have Randolph. He's a decent player, but who would've picked up the 3 year / $48,000,000 contract for a 17/10 guy with character issues? Who could the Bucks acquire by trading Randolph--in order to rebuild the team--that the Knicks couldn't?
