I could see it happening, and it is something I would consider.
I am not as high on Kyle Lowry as most are, to me he is very overrated. Much like Antonio Daniels was a few years ago, Mike James was the year the Pistons won a title........those type of PG's.
But getting Mike Miller, who isn't that much of a step down from Redd and being able to get rid of Simmons sounds good to me.

That's my guess too, but....
NY loves to add meaningless talent, and that's what Redd is. They essentially get Redd for David Lee. I'm not sure if that's something Isiah can pass up.
The Memphis piece gets a little trickier. They have proven that they are willing to trade legit talent for expirings. That essentially what they're doing here for Miller. Also, CV is a Rudy Gay buddy and would be a nice fit next to a guy like Darko. I do think that CV probably still has a bit more value to the Grizz, than Lowry given that Conley Jr. is being groomed. I think we could probably add a protected future first as well, much like the Lakers did in the Gasol trade.

Great great trade for Milwaukee... but no way Grizz or Knicks do it.
Grizz give up Mike Miller and Lowry for crappy expirings, and CV.
NY give Lee (the only big anybody likes in NY) and Jones for Redd and Bobby, leading to position battles with Crawford and QRich/Balkman. Yuck.

The nice part is we'd have a ton of options come this summer.
We could continue to build with our draft pick, and make a few smaller trades to plug gaps. Or if Lowry shows the requisite progress, we could always trade Mo, our high 1st, and Des (expiring) for a all-star/superstar SF. Plus, we'd always have that HUGE Marbury expiring in our back pocket if something too good to be true (ala Gasol) came along.

1. No one thought the Grizz would trade Gasol for crappy expirings and Javaris Crittendon either, but it just happened.
2. Don't know about NY, but if Isiah has shown anything in his tenure, it's that he's willing to take on talented players with huge deals. Redd also fills a big gap on the Knicks team, i.e. consistent outside shooting. They'd have to run Crawford at PG and Redd at SG, as far as positions go.
I think with a little tweaking this could be more possible than given credit for.

Exactly on the Pacers thing. At this point CV is a better prospect than Diogu and expirings are better than Marquis Daniels. I don't think it's that far off.

I'd start:
Lowry/Bell/Miller/Lee/Bogut
With the bench of:
Mo/Mason/Yi/Ruffin/Gadzuric
Seems a lot more balanced to me. Then I'd draft the best SG/SF available next year in the draft unless we can get Beasley/Rose/Griffin/Jordan.

My guess is the grizzlies would rather have the flexibility to sign whoever than take on marquis daniels...you're also correct on CV > Diogu

As bad as the Knicks are, i'd guess that Dolan might finally be ready to squash any future Isiah trades that involve taking on big money long term contracts for non-special players.
