TI with Miami (very realistic)

Lots of TI's here involve players the Bucks obviously don't want to move, players the other team doesn't want to move, blatantly unfair propositions, and propositions that don't take into account the financial and competitive situations of the teams involved. This one is as realistic as it gets and is one trade we should watch and pray for before the deadline.

Mo/Simmons/Gadz for J-Will/Davis/Mourning.

Think you're getting any real talent in a trade that gets rid of Simmons and Gadz? You're a homer.

Think Miami can afford to build slowly and steadily when Wade could bolt in two years if they don't shape up? No saving cap space, they need to extend Marion and leverage their expiring contracts, Simmons and Gadz's bad deals be damned. They have the market and the superstar to make it worthwhile both on the court and on the balance sheet.

Think Mo is the answer at pg for the Bucks? Ummmm.... yeah.

Think the Bucks should stand pat and make a playoff push? Please.

Think the Bucks can't recover from letting a player like Mo get away for nothing? C'mon, he's nothing special.

Think the Bucks should trade Redd instead? Fair enough, but name me a team that really wants him and has something to offer. Miami has always wanted Mo and has even been rumored to consider a J-Will for Simmons offer. A Redd trade is just far more complicated.

This TI gives the Bucks hope for the future, and probably gets them a top-5 pick this summer to boot.

I doubt Miami does it.

Mo + Wade + Marion + Garbage does not mean a championship or even contending for them. They would still have no presence in the paint defensively and no post player what so ever.

Mo is a good fit, but those other two guys would tie up Miami through the rest of Wade and Marion's primes.

I know we've talked about before. How come it hasn't happened, don't LH and Kohl read this damn forum?

By the way, has anybody mentioned the potential fa's this summer? This deal would put the Bucks at just $38 mill guaranteed next year. That's part of the discussion.

pg:
Calderon
Arenas (opt-out)
Baron (opt-out)

sg:
Gordon

sf:
Deng
Artest (opt-out)
Josh Smith
Childress

pf:
Jamison

Lot of rfa's, but definitely some potentially suitable options for the Bucks, especially at sf where the Bulls and Hawks have a glut and may not match all offers.

I mentioned this in another thread here but my idea is...

Udonis Haslem, Ricky Davis, Dorrell Wright, Jason Williams

for

Michael Redd, Bobby Simmons

The Heat give up a little more than the original offer, but they don't have to take back two bad contracts plus they get Redd instead of Williams.

As a Heat fan, I would absolutely do the above trade.

This is the exact reason that the Heat won't take garbage for their expiring contracts.

They will either acquire core pieces using them, or let them expire and go after some free agents.

They have plenty of pieces to attract free agents (Miami, Pat Riley?, Wade and Marion)
