Seattle willing to move Kurt Thomas
Since it sounds like Seattle is willing to move Kurt Thomas.. the Bucks should be on the phone trying to figure out what they want for him. If they can't get him then they need to be putting out feelers on Chris Wilcox and a few other players over there.

I don't think that there GM is willing to part with Chris Wilcox unless they get an unfair deal in their favor for him. I've heard a few times that he is completely in love with Wilcox and loves his game.
I'd be willing to try and deal for Kurt Thomas though... But they certainly aren't going to take on Gadzuric's or Simmon's deal for anything we offer them.

I like him....but what would be the plan since I can't see him being happy here.....
He'd get a ton of minutes here which could earn him a higher contract than he could get otherwise. He might rather go to a contender, but going to a team where he can play a lot is a high 2nd choice.
I also think he coudl help us long term if he could help instill this team with some toughness. We need veterans on the court to bitch out the guys who slack on defense, and he certainly could do that. In fact, I can see us trying to keep him after the season, as what he brings are in depressingly low supply in milwaukee.
As much as he'd help us though, I wonder what we'd give up for him considering he is likely to go to a contender at the offseason? as much as I hate CV, I'd like to get a guy we can have more than one year for him.

We need some supportive players on this team that know how to win.. we don't have that. All these young players are nice and all but we don't have guys on this team that know what it takes to win in this league and they need a steadying force in the lockerroom to help guide them.paulpressey25 wrote:I can't see where this helps us long-term.....he's going to be 36 and hasn't played much the last few years.

I agree entirely, but how much can we give up for a guy who may only be here for 30 games? CV and Big Jake would get it done I bet, but that's an awful lot for us to lose.
