Who should play?
CV should start and play a lot to showcase him for trade purposes. He could put up good numbers. Play him at sf as well so Yi can keep developing. If playing CV more results in a couple more wins so be it, they need to showcase him.
Gadz should definitely get all the back-up center minutes, maybe even a few of Bogut's minutes when the Bucks are in full tank mode. Last year they played Gadz a lot at the end of the year and he played well for the first time since signing his big contract, but it was only a dozen games or so, not enough to convince any potential trade partners that Gadz still has some value. They need to realize that it's time to tank now.
Bogut should play about 30 mpg, he's a big part of the future and the team needs to revolve around him a little more. Now is the time to make the transition from guard-oriented to more balanced on offense, even though there will be bumps and chemistry issues along the way. Don't sit Bogut too much even when you're in full tank mode.
Yi should play 20-25, let CV play some sf to find minutes for both. Yi needs to develop.
Mason deserves to play. He is not an adequate starter but will be an important part of the team as a role player off the bench next year. Starting him is compatible with my desire to tank, while also sending the message that determination and effort will be rewarded. A win-win.
Simmons shouldn't play, I don't think his trade value can improve by playing him. Everything I've heard indicates that his attitude hasn't been good either, and I think CV needs some sf minutes. Simmons is another guy who wants to take more shots and I can only advocate for playing one forward with that mentality because, while I do want them to lose and draft high, I don't want the team to be dysfunctional and cancerous.
Redd is Redd, he knows the drill when it comes to tanking. Let him play for another 6 weeks but cut his minutes some. Experiment with him at sf. Experiment with him not on the floor at all. He should sit the last 10 games with tendinitis, to rest for the Olympics. Noel can have Redd's sf minutes once Redd sits.
Bell is a part of the future whether he likes it or not. The Bucks need more players like him. Give him more of Redd's minutes as the team starts to tank. As with Mason, he'll be an important part of the bench next year and they need to invest some pt in him.
I like Ivey, I think he should get minutes for many of the same reasons Mason should. It won't actually make the Bucks better but will help change the tone. Give him some of Mo's minutes.
Mo should be showcased a little, but they don't need to play him 38 mpg because other teams know what he can do. Sit him with tendinitis for the last ten games and play Sessions.
Of course the Bucks would never be this smart, but it's nice to be able to talk about this stuff with a knowing audience.

Completely disagree with you on Simmons
He's being paid to be our starter. He needs to be our starter.
If there's any chance of trading him, starting him is the answer.
If there's any chance of him regaining form, starting him is the answer.
Bobby is not a bad locker room guy from what I can gather, he's just sick and tired of being jerked around by his coach and this franchise.
I think he's one of the few guys who actually cares whats going on.

I've been saying this since the beginning, but here we go again:
Bell/Williams
Redd/Ivey
Simmons/Mason
Yi/Ruffin
Bogut/Gadzuric
Run set plays for Redd, Yi, and Bogut. Bell (backdoor scoring) and Simmons (shooting) score off of the residule effects of those set plays. Halfcourt, precise offense, defense as a priority.
Then, the bomb squad comes in with the poor man's Iverson leading the way. That's a fast lineup.
Then Redd, Yi, and Bogut come back in before the half. Williams and Mason stay in the game.
Repeat in the second half. Except, Bell closes out games in which we lead. Williams closes when we need clutch scoring. Yi and Bogut have also shown a little clutch ability. Michael Redd should be drawing fouls and be a decoy, and nothing else at the end of games.
CV was suppossed to be traded by now, I don't know where he fits...

If there's very little hope of either?
I guess you could say I don't think there's much chance of trading him unless they can package him with someone else who a team might actually want, like CV.
I also don't expect him to return to form, and would like to remind people that he was probably never as good as people think anyway. He put up respectable numbers for a bad Clippers team when Maggette was hurt. He's always been a sf without the requisite athleticism, or a pf without the requisite height.
Finally, I know he's getting paid starter money. That's the problem. You compound the problem by actually starting him. He's the kind of guy you keep as an overpaid but useful role player on a contender, not a mediocre starter (even if he returns to "form") on a rebuilding team.
If he ends up being untradeable they can start him next year and hope for the best. But that's not the way to go this year, showcasing CV is more important. It's not a grudge against Simmons.

Play them all for 40 minutes and only rest them at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarters where we sub in Ivey, Bell, Mason, Simmons and Gadz. Then with the first pick in the draft we get Rose.
That is hilarious
"I just wanted to play because I just love the game," Jennings said. "It doesn't matter to me. I get up to play basketball. It's my job. I have to still be a professional and finish the season."

But if after the next ten we only go say 3-7 or even 4-6 it will be development time. Play Bogut, CV, Yi nonstop.....force feed the offense through those three.....
I'd start doing that right now, see what we have the last 28 games.
I'd start CV/Yi/Bogut, and no I don't care about CV's defensive problems at the small forward position.
They need to give CV 35+ minutes though. He can stat pad big time these last 28 games, and stat padding helps trade value.

Wouldn't Simmons fit better in the half court and Mason in the bomb squad?

Judging by last night, the Bucks are on the same page as me. It feels great that the team is actually doing exactly what I would want them to do. Imagine if you proposed a trade that you desperately wanted to see happen, and the next day the Bucks did exactly that trade. That's how I feel about the way pt was handed out last night. The only thing they didn't do is play CV at sf so Yi and CV can both play about 30 mpg. Like I said, playing Simmons at sf is pointless because he seems so unlikely to improve his trade value, whereas CV will at least put up numbers.
Starting CV, Mo, and Redd ensures horrible defense and bad on-court chemistry because there's not enough shots to go around. Yet it does allow the Bucks to showcase their talents. Those 3 are all offense-minded and they should be given every opportunity to maximize their talents, because there will be some team out there that is looking for players like them. The beauty of it is that playing them won't lead to wins, so you have it both ways - playing your trade chips and tanking can go hand-in-hand.
And Gadzuric was a factor, as he's proven he can be when consistently given minutes. 8 pts, 6 boards, 2 steals, 1 block in 16 min. Exactly the kind of game that earned him his current contract, the kind of game he will have 3 games out of every 5, which will make his contract palpable for some other team.

Agree 100% with absolutely everything in this post. Not only does he need to start, but he needs to play a LOT more minutes than Des, we all know what Des is, and he'll never be anything more than he is right now.

Bobby has a much better skill set than Dez does and from what I can see of Bobby on the floor, there's no reason he can't be averaging 12 pts/5 rebs with the right playing time and play calling.
I even have faith that next year he could come back in shape, ready to roll during training camp and I expect to see 15pts/6 rebs out of him if he's still here and is starting.
Sure, he'll still be overpaid. But I really think we can get better production out of him and we can get something back for signing him. When he contract runs down a bit (perhaps next years deadline) he might actually have some value (at least better than this year)

The only guy left who I had a strong desire to see play was Sessions and that doesn't look like it will happen. I would love to see how he runs a team offensively, demands control, or if he could. Ramon is 6'3" and has a decent build, would love to have seen if he could defend and above all show some intelligence on the court.

At the beginning of the year, before the asskohl, LH & LK debacle, the players were very excited about this year. In camp, they were getting along, playing together. The lineup of Mo, Redd, Bobby, CV, & Bogut was something they were really looking forward to. Then LKs dumbass started Des instead of Bobby and Ying Ding Aling infront of CV and things went downhill from that day, even before our first game.
After LK telling Bobby he was the starter all thru camp, to have someone other than a coach,CV told him he aint starting, and that Cv wasnt starting either set the season off in a very negative way.
That lineup is our best. Does this team want to win or not. Teams that want to win play their best players. Not sit them.
Either way Bobby will be traded this summer. Guaranteed. He got alot more interest than anybody here thinks. There were 11 teams that requested info about him waiving the trade kicker so he does have value.
Whoever said he is a cancer in the locker room is nuts. The cancer is LK.

It's going to piss me off when we trade Bobby for pennies on the dollar to watch him become a solid contributor somewhere else.
We are total idiots. **** I hate this franchise.
