NO CONTROL: What does coach Larry Krystkowiak think about the feeling among some fans who thought the Bucks should have shaken up the roster at the trade deadline?

"I think that's going to happen anytime things aren't going as planned," he said. "It's been somewhat of a disappointment. We're not producing the way we'd like to. . . . Fans have to have something to talk about. But it really gets a little carried away because of the computer and all the opinions that get posted. It always used to be word of mouth. Now things can start in a little blog or a chat room and then it ends up being the gospel. I just focus on what I can control."

So what exactly is he focusing on controlling? He sure as hell isn't controlling this team.

I don't think the older generation execs and coaches in the NBA care too much for bloggers...perhaps fam can expand on that being one and having some experiences, but it bloggers and forums like this are seen as a nuisance and "opinions not facts" to most, and fairly enough to an extent. As Gary said the other day on WSSP, "if it doesn't have a bi-line, I won't read or believe it"

Cry me a river. When your 15 games under .500 people are bound to complain. But its not his fault there is very little talent on this team. Life might be easier for him he comes to grip with that.

One thing is fact. This team sucks.
Everyone can see it except for the Bucks organization. That is not an opinion.

Larry, when you continue to spin every aspect of the team's performance instead of taking responsibility, we aren't that pleased either. This season has been somewhat of a disappointment? It's been a freaking disaster! We're one of the worst teams in the NBA, and meanwhile, we haven't been doing much to develop our young guys into the players they need to become. Just a wasted season.

If I'm a coach, or GM, or owner, why would I even bother reading Realgm or any other internet site. What would be the point?

Last nights game was a perfect example. We were down by 30. Bell, Simmons, and Ivey
were chucking up shots like crazy. We could have used that time to feed Yi to work on his back to the basket game. He touched it got it down low maybe 2 or 3 times. I watched 4th quarter just to see if Yi would get some work. That did not happen.

The problem is that the mainstream media can't acknowledge the revolution that has just taken place. Genie is out of the bottle and won't go back in.

I like Gary, but his ripping on places like this means he is making himself obsolete to well over half his listening audience.

The other problem is the quality at MJS. That paper pays a super salary to Bob McGinn because he is so good and his reporting so accurate. Internet reports and discussion on the Packers have a built in accuracy check because of McGinn's stature.

The Bucks reporting at MJS is so horrible and slipshod that we just rip on those guys rather than respect them. And since 95% of worthwhile Bucks news get reported here first, people respect this place more than MJS. It isn't that way with the Packers.

That's exactly it. The MJS Packer reporting is top notch. I don't always agree with McGinn, Silverstein, et al but they do a good job of reporting everything and McGinn even, gulp, gives his opinion on things (something beat writers are not "suppose" to do.

I am on a lot of sports boards, a lot of Packer boards and almost always the discuss focuses on what McGinn and Silverstein report.

With the Bucks, as PP said, very rarely do Enlund/Gardner report things first. VERY rarely. We get the news HERE, we get it sometimes from Woelfel.

Certainly Garry Howard doesn't want to lose his cushy seats and end up sitting 25 rows up with Enlund.

Memo to Larry K. : The fans on this board are people that live and die with Milwaukee Bucks basketball. Most these fans know more about Bucks history than you do. People have ideas for this team because they actually care. When we get mad over a move that is not made...its cause we care. When we are irate because the team gets blown out at home against Golden State or on the road at Philidelphia...its cause we care. Everybody has different ways of showing how they care...some get angry...some stick by their team and defend every move they make...and others can go both ways. If you dont want to hear what the people that are paying your salary think than get a different job.

I should also give Tom Silverstein and Cliff Christl credit as well. Those guys are/were also excellent.

The short answer is that there is no mainsteam media counter balance to RealGM in this market as it relates to the Bucks. None.

No Sam Smith....no Ira Winderman.....not even a Peter Vecscey.....

We're it folks.......Maybe Herb Kohl's desire to have a lap-dog MJS is now coming back to bite him somewhat here the past month.

The problem is the Bucks are LOSERS.....big ones for the last 16-years....the Bucks were statewide when they won.

When I went to college in the mid-80's I had tons of friends from Northern and Central Wisconsin. These guys and I would all watch Bucks games. They knew every player....and would watch what games they could on the UHF stations that were part of the network......guys in Ripon would emulate Terry Cumming's moves.....guys in Tomah would know all about Craig Hodges.....

It can come back with winning......five years ago, you couldn't get 5 people to show up at a Jeff Cirillo autograph signing in Waukesha.....now you could.

Do you really think this team has very little talent? This team has A TON of talent, but it isn't well assorted and we have a bad coach.

Ripping apart the Bucks organization on Realgm is the only thing keeping me around and interested. I am just surprised that there are some of us that still care. Larry K should be happy that there is still a slight pulse in the fanbase. Trust me Larry there are a just a few of us left and if you continue the status quo into next season I guarantee we will almost be extinct.

hmmm define talent.....alot of guys capable of scoring, yes they have that...alot of guys capable of playing defense..no, being unselfish...no, having a high basketball IQ...HELL no. If you are like so many and equate talent with just shooting ability, then yes they are soooo talented.
