Post#1 » by DH34Phan » Wed Feb 27, 2008 2:20 am

Tennessee getting a run for its money in its first game as the #1 team in the nation.

Shan Foster is awesome. Late 1st round steal IMO.

The last three number ones to go into Vandy were beat, including Florida last year.

Yikes, Ogilvy needs to stay the **** out of foul trouble. It's fairly amazing the Vanderbilt is sill leading the No. 1 team without one of its best players.

If Vandy knocks them off, Texas has to be ahead of Tennessee.

just shows how tough the SEC is......unlike Memphis who can take 3 weeks off playing in that dreadful C*USA.

Yeah but still Memphis has actually played some really good teams this year and beat them.

and yes someone will get a absolute steal in Shan Foster.

For some reason I can see Isiah drafting the guy in the lotto.

I think you mistyped that their last 4 home wins were Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky

It was their 4 straight win against a #1 team, when it has been at Vanderbilt.

I guess it's tricky wording, but I think it makes sense if you know the idea. SportsCenter just recapped the stat.

Replace "against" with "when facing." It's the forth straight time they've beaten a #1 ranked team in their building, dating back to the 80's. Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, and North Carolina.

So they pulled a UW?

That was a terrible feeling...getting your first #1 and then proceed to get knocked off the very next game...

rankings in the regular season are always meaningless in college basketball people only remember the final 4 teams and the national champ....

No one remembers that Wisconsin being in the top 3 virtually the entire regular season.
