Drinking after/before Bucks vs. Blazers game Friday

Post#1 » by GrandAdmiralDan » Wed Feb 27, 2008 2:41 pm

There will once again be some post-game festivities after a weekend Bucks game.

No WSSP Post game show @ Fitzgiboons this time. I'm not sure if there is a post game show at all (in studio) or if it is getting bumped for Badgers/Admirals.

Anyway, after the game we will be meeting up with Bucks fans at VI Degrees on Water Street and Clybourn.
Your Bucks ticket can be redeemed there for one free drink, and I'm personally a big fan of that bar. Just don't insult Vanilla Ice or the movie "Cool As Ice" while you are in there or you risk being ordered to do a tequila shot and/or thrown out :)

Prior to the game we will meet up at Duke's on Water Street around 6:45pm to enjoy some $1 tappers (an everyday special from 4pm - 9pm) and take the free shuttle bus to the BC.

I already have tickets for this game this time and will be accompanied by wichmae.

Who's in for the above?

*Skip to the part of this thread for this game:

Yeah, I've decided to just edit one thread from now on rather than starting a new one each time.
I'll keep my prior edits here for my own purposes.

The Bucks recent play has caused the indefinite postponement of the RealGM Grocery Bag Revolt (though we reserve the right to schedule it again IF circumstances change). As a few of us have talked about though, we still want to go to this game.

Prior to the game we can meet up at the upstairs bar at Buck Bradleys across from the BC OR we can meet up at Fitzgibbons on Water Street and take the free shuttle bus to the BC.

1) Who's in for the above?

2) Who wants to buy some tickets with me? I'm just interested in the $10 ticket (in conjunction with my seat "upgrade" skills) and am going to attempt to get those on Thursday. So how many should I get? I know Schweig expressed interest. bigkurty? wichmae? Anyone else?

Im 100% closing the bars in milwaukee after the game on saturday. I always go to Dukes for $1 tappers which goes from 4-9, then on the weekends after bucks games, at GAMETIME right across from the B.C. they have $2 bombs/beers.

So anyway im in for drinking of course.

I think I am going to sit this one out. I have a hot date Saturday and if things go well it could turn into a hot night. If they don't go well, maybe I will meet up for post game festivities. I'll call you GAD if I end up going out.

$1 tappers from 4-9 ?
Looks like we're meeting up at Dukes prior to the game then instead of Buck Bradley's or Fitzgibbons.
Thanks for the tip on Dukes (and now that you mentioned it, I think someone, perhaps you, already mentioned this one other time, but I forgot).

Still VI Degrees after the game though.

BlueJeep, do you and Nowak already have tickets?
Do you want me to get two more $10 tickets when I buy the two for myself ans schweig, or what?

Yea we have tickets, so you will see us there. I will be driving so I probably won't (or at least i say I won't) get carried away. I have probably driven home drunk a half dozen times from Milwaukee to Racine, my luck is going to run out on that.

This time I am not going to get tricked into playing a drinking game that I don't know how to play. Chugging a full beer (don't remember what it was besides it was thick as ****) with a tequila shot in it is bad times. :x

Hmm. Yes, the driving home drunk part is not advisable.
But getting carried away IS! :)
The solution is to just hang out a bit after bar close. Even just getting that buffer of an hour between when you stop drinking and when you need to drive home makes a huge difference. Maybe we'll actually get some food this time. Somehow that never caught on after that first time :dontknow:

Luckily I am smart enough NOT to play Fear Factor Bar Dice. And I definitely never will play that game. I'm not a fan of chugging a beer. I'm not a slow drinker by any means. But chugging, shotgunning, or bonging a beer is not for me. For one thing, I can't do any of those things very well (ok, I can chug a beer, I just don't like to), and secondly I like to DRINK my beer.
And this is NOT one of those things I say that I don't do that BuckFan25226 will get me to start doing (like doing shots again) :wavefinger:

I'm supposed to drink with friends before/during/after the MU-Georgetown game. I might have the stamina to meet you guys after the game @ 6 degrees.

Damn, I gave my tickets to a client months ago for the Spurs matchup.
I'll need to make it down for one of these RealGM meet ups sometime.

I hope I can make it out Saturday night after the game. I'll definitely be at the game, but I've been sick since monday and still feel kind of crappy. It will be a gametime decision for me so to speak.

Won't it hurt her feelings when you come out drinking with us after the game without inviting her?

I'm just saying that HE should meet up with us. It will be fun.
His sister can go do something else if she doesn't want to hang out with us, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't.
Not saying she wouldn't be welcome if she wanted to come (which I doubt). I promise Nowak would behave himself and refrain from hitting on her if need be. He is not without class and has it in him to be quite the gentleman. 75totheMACCfund just got the wrong idea about him :)
