Landing another lotto pick.

I read somewhere (I honestly can't remember where) that the Clippers may be interested in dealing their lotto pick for established talent. The thought being that Brand, Kaman, and Maggette are ready now, but need some help. Specifically, help at the SG and PG.
Bucks Trade:
Michael Redd
Charlie Villanueva
Bucks Get:
Tim Thomas
Cuttino Mobley
Clippers Pick Currently #6
Clippers Trade:
Tim Thomas

Leaves the Clippers with a starting lineup of...

Leaves us with two lotto picks and two contracts that are more manageable and a year shorter than Redd alone. We'd have a big time glut at SF, so Simmons and/or Thomas would have to be moved in a separate deal.

Sounds pretty fair for the Bucks and Clips. Don't see the griz trading lowry for CV though.
Trading Redd for their pick would be great. Hopefully that would mean two top 8 picks. The possibilities would be endless.

I like this trade. I posted a similar one a week ago, saying that between us and the Clippers we should put together one contending team, and one rebuilding team. Either send us Brand for Yi and our lotto pick, or have us send Redd for their pick.

I'm all for targeting the Clippers pick (have had my sights on it for awhile). I saw a thread regarding them trading the pick on the Blazers board, didn't see a story though but that might be where you saw the topic midranger.

I'm thinking the Clippers would want something else if they give us Livingston, Thornton, and their #1 in 08. Livingston is also a free agent, so not sure how possible this scenario is.
Frankly, almost everyone on this team (and within the organization) needs to go. Redd, Mo, Gadz, Bobby, Bell, etc..every one of them should be explored in deals and I can't really comprehend how **** stupid our management is to not make 1 single move at the deadline.
In any event, we'll probably find a way to screw up building a team correctly even when we possess 2 top 10 lottery picks.

I highly doubt that the Clipps would trade Livingston for next to nothing at this point.

yeah, they have very little to lose at this point, he'll stay loyal to them and if he's not back by the time his contract is up he'll resign for short term small deal and keep trying

If the deal were good enough, I think they'd willingly use him to sweeten the pot. It depends if they believe Mo could lead that team.

If I were GM, I would do this without batting an eye.
Pick up another 1st rounder to go with ours and we can really be rebuilding instead of half rebuilding and half trying to win now.
