Thoughts on Dan Gadzuric

I had an interesting thought today while watching Gadzuric today in the 2nd quarter. How great does Gadzuric play when he is on the court with a great passer? He runs the court very well. He finds excellent seams to slash through on offense, and when someone who can pass is on the court with him (it was Sessions and Bogut tonight), he looks like the player we justified paying 6M a year to. Could it be that the loss of TJ Ford, and to a lesser extent Tony Kukoc, was the downfall of the dunking dutchman?

He sucks. He only does this well once every 2 months.

It is just meant to be for conversation. I personally think that he could come out and be that effective on offense every night, but that he would be limited by his foul trouble from the defensive end.

Dan Gadzuric has been terrible his entire career outside of two short runs of games. Non-coincidentally, both of those runs came in the midst of tanking while actively trying to lose basketball games.

He is a horrible basketball player.

Dan Gadzuric is not a good basketball player. He was once a tad better than he is now, but he's declined since we've gotten Bogut. Don't forget, he started on a team that got us the 8 seed.

He should be making the league minimum.

He still looks like he has a gun to his head when he gets the ball...even if its a wide open lay-up.

Gadz is an athletic guy, and he rolls to the basket and finishes well. There's absolutely no doubt that he needs good passers around him to be effective, because he's bad at everything else.

If we had a PG that was elite. He could make GAdz look awesome. SO hard to say with are team. Are entire team is a hole. $tarting with $hit. Are team is so bad theres hole everywhere from owner on down. So its pretty much a grim season. New owner and coaches and then work from there weeding out the ball hogs and crap.

I'll take Zaza Pachulia on my team over Gads anyday of the week. Big blunder by Harris letting a legit back up center get away and deciding on signing Gadz to huge contract instead.

Gadzuric is just really meh....He turned a decent season into a great contract, right? (he resigned in 05, right?) In a perfect world, he'd be something like Jeff Foster.

Honestly I would try to trade him for Memphis' Jason Collins. Trying to convince the Grizzlies that in the right situation Dan can be a good player.

Of course any Grizzlie trade now has to include Brian Cardinal, now that Gasol has been dumped and Swift is off the team.

Yeah that was a huge blunder... Does ZaZa even play much anymore? The last I heard I thought he was getting suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.

Kings offered us Kenny Thomas for Gadz last season. :banghead:

I suppose with Chris Paul he could be a homeless man's Tyson Chandler, which is basically what he was in 04/05. Well, worse man defense for sure. But until we get one of the league's best pure PGs he's going to be a bit player and a bad contract.

Gadz also can't block shots and rebound like Chandler can. Not to mention that Gadz would foul out almost every game if he played starters minutes.
