Best time of the year if your a basketball fan.

1st rounds of the Big 10, Big 12, SEC and ACC tournies today.

Quarterfinals of the Big East and Pac 10 tournies today and tonight.

Michigan won to face Wisconsin tomorrow. Both Illinois and Minnesota squeak by. I like the Badgers chances to make it to the semi-finals.

Florida was getting blown out nasty early, managed to make it a game late, but lost to Alabama. Florida's bubble bursts. Vandy moves on. I like them in the NCAAs.

No real shockers in the Big 12. OK St., Nebraska, and Texas A&M win. Colorado with an upset over Baylor. I expect The Big 12 to get 5 or 6 teams in the NCAAs.

No shockers in the ACC, either. Maryland with another disappointing season. Florida St., Ga Tech, Miami and BC move on. Fla St. needs another win to get in. ACC gets 4-5 teams in.

In the Pac 10, USC solidified its spot in the NCAAs, while maybe bursting Arizona State's. Good thing for the casual fan, as OJ Mayo will be in the limelight. UCLA rolled over Cal, possibly bursting their bubble, and Wash. St. beat Oregon. Stanford is in a battle with Arizona as we speak. The Pac 10 might get a record 70% of their league in the NCAAs (7 teams). I think out of the Bubble teams, Arizona, USC, Oregon, and Cal get in.

And finally the Big East. After a good night of games last night (Marquette nice victory over Seton Hall), there were more at MSG today and tonight. West Virginia pulled the upset over UConn. Joe Alexander is a stud for the Mountaineers, and I wouldn't be surprised if they made the Sweet 16. Pittsburgh pulled off a shocker, knocking off who I consider the hottest team in the nation, Louisville. I like Louisville in the NCAAs, and I think Pitt's seniors could take them on a run. Marquette with a great 2nd half against Notre Dame, advancing to the semi's of the Big East tourney for the first time ever. McNeal played amazing. Hopefully Crean can get his 1st NCAA win A.D. After Dwyane. Georgetown rolled over Villanova in the other Quarter.

So, the majors conferences are about to have some big games this weekend. Bubbles will be burst, seeds will rise and fall.

Gonna be an exciting weekend. Much better than watching the NBA team in Milwaukee.

The A-10, which is very strong, and Conference USA, which features Memphis, tourneys are going on aswell, and should have a few NCAA teams to watch.

Vanderbilt's young Australian freshman big AJ Ogilvy had a lazy 27 points in 26 minutes on the back of 12/13 fg shooting and 3/4 fts in the first round of the SEC tournament. Vandy is through to the next round.

Ogilvy is going to be a solid pro when he leaves Vandy (which won't be this year), he has a great frame and if he can add some muscle on it then wowy wow wow. Hell of a low post scorer, plays D and hits throws.

That Chris Wallace kid from Georgetown is going to be a very solid PG in the NBA if he wants to play basketball, he is already accepted into Georgetown law school, but if he wants to play in the NBA I really think this kid can be like Derron Williams.

A lot of Bubble teams choking thus far when it matters the most. Mississippi lost to Georgia, UAB laid down to Tulsa, Rhode Island 2 days ago had a chance to beat some quality teams in the A10 tourney to improve upon their great resume from the beginning of the year. Naturally, they got hosed with a foul @ .3 seconds left to lose by 2 fts.

I'll be very content with the field if Ohio State isn't included in it, so hopefully Michigan State shows some semblance of a program today.

Forgot Maryland as well, which pretty much means that Virginia Tech's door is wide open today against Miami.

Crean can also get all his wins out of the way in the BE tourney. The one that counts isn't until next week Thomas.

Pitt / Marq tonight should be a very good game. Pitt is one of my favorite non-Badger teams. I hope that they come out with a victory tonight and reach the BE finals - yet again. Excited to watch Sam Young, who's tearing the tournament up, and also Jerel McNeal.

Tell me I'm not the only person who'd do anything to see Flowers and McNeal in the same backcourt. That would be absolutely sick.

Pitt-Georgetown in the Big East Final.

WI/MSU and Ill/Minn in the Big 10 semis.

Terrible scene in Atlanta. Tornado ripped through the city, damaging the arena, and postponing the SEC tournament. I think they will be able to continue it tomorrow, though.

This is the first time, that I can think of, that could be clearly classified at JBo "choking." He's usually money down the stretch, and he in no way is an offensive black hole in the closing minutes.

I know you're joking around, but I felt it deserved an honest response. He doesn't need that linked to him.

Hahaha, sorry if I offended you or anything, like you said, I was just joking around. JBo is an excellent player for us, he just got a little excited today, we won, so who cares.
