LK is going to increase Sessions' court time. Sounds like Bill Peterson, Dallas' player development coach during Nash's and Nowitzki's ascent, has taken Mr. Sessions under his wing.

In seriousness Sessions is our best PG...mo, bell, and ivey need to try to learn from Sessions as to how to play pg in the NBA.

It's very important the Bucks get a better feel for what they have in Sessions before the draft.

There are a bunch of PGs that will go at different stages in the draft, and if it comes down to a coin flip between, say, an SF and a PG then you need as much information as possible about how far along Sessions actually is. Maybe Sessions can be the equivalent of a lottery-type talent next year, maybe he can't. But it's hard to make that call if he's only getting practice time.

Bout time. I want him to get significant time before the new GM comes in so he can so he's the future starter for this team.

Now, it's up to Sessions to prove that he can be Mark Jackson, and that we don't need to draft Collison.

What I'd like to know is what input if any Herb Kohl had in this......If Larry K. really agreed with this, he would have been playing Sessions a lot more the past three weeks.

I don't disagree with it at all. But find it interesting that Larry K. just decided to give Ramon a ton of playing time 24 hours after Larry Harris is out and Kohl essentially did his end of season press conference a month early.

Kohl in the past had encouraged tanking and player development. This move smells of Kohl meddling.

On another note, he should tell him to drop his stupid grudge against Simmons and put him out there so if we do trade him we can at least prove that he can still play.

If LK is a lame duck as most of us assume that he is, then this is actually one of the rare times when meddling makes sense.

However, I thought we had heard that LK had some input on the Sessions pick. Maybe I imagined that. Hadn't we also been under the impression that Babcock was the driving force behind our 2nd rounders? Well, he's the GM now. If there is 'meddling' going on, I think I'd look to Babcock as soon as I'd look to Kohl... but I don't believe that there's necessarily anything meddlesome happening here.

I'm also in support of this "meddling" if that's the case.

Also, I'm in support of hiring Rick Carlisle.


I think we need to draft a SF so badly that I don't want to see this team waste a pick on a PG when we have Sessions on the roster. Let's see what he's got for draft purposes.

Even though the odds are Sessions is already better than Ivey, I think Ivey is one of LK's guys...he plays hard and doesn't bitch, whatever that's worth. So even though LK should be desperately trying to win games for his own sake, he might be more loyal to Ivey than is rational.

I'd also be very curious to see Mo and Sessions playing together at the same time.

A reason to watch the Bucks for the rest of the year. That's all this is for me.

If Kohl told Larry two days ago..."Seasons over....I want to see Sessions get time" I would not support that.

Now, I love the concept of Sessions playing on the micro level. But on the macro level, the owner should NEVER be telling the coach who to play. Maybe a powerful GM might tell the coach that, if the power structure was set up correctly where the GM was the clear boss of the coach. But not the owner.

But Kohl makes a decision like this, and the fans and Ron Walter high-five him, so he feels confidence in continuing to make all sorts of other meddling decisions in all other areas.

Maybe I'm delusional, but I think if Sessions gets 25-30 minutes a night the rest of the season that he may turn out to be the guy that can be the floor general we've been looking for.

At the very least, this sneak peak can show thats not the case and that we'll need to use our lotto pick for a pg. But there's no excuse to not play him at this point, except for the fact that our coach is coaching for his job/ just a big idiot.

So do I. It's about damn time Sessions saw meaningful playing time. There has been no good reason not to up until now. If Kohl is the only one intelligent enough to realize this more power to him.

Edited to add - I have no idea how good Sessions can be but given how PG remains a critical area of need in my opinion and given how the upcoming draft is loaded with PG prospects the Bucks need to find out what they have with this kid. Maybe he shows enough that can enable the Bucks to identify another position in the draft instead of a PG.

On a side note, I really want Rick Carlisle as our coach...

I realize that's just a dream unfortunately. The Bucks would be lucky to get one of those two, much less both of them.
