Just announced he will be leaving the team. Let the bidding begin.

The excitement should be left to the team's boards that have an ants farts worth of a chance. You think that Kohl is gonna get into a 'mine is bigger than your's' pissing match with the likes of NY? While I'd like to believe that the Bucks have a shot, I'll believe it when it comes out of Walsh's mouth.

Well, it appears we have the 2008 version of 2005's Doug Collins. Yay for us.

I think he will be leaving for NYK.
Probably already has a deal in place.

Awesome news for us.....
Contradicts the ESPN report from earlier......that report said Walsh met 8-hours on Friday with the Pacer's owners.
For the pipe dream crowd, maybe, just maybe Kohl's offer (Or the Knicks) was strong enough that Walsh felt confident presenting a list of demands to the Indy owners, that the Indy owners didn't feel they could compete with.
Good GM's are great card players....Walsh wouldn't overplay his hand with Indy unless he had a Royal Flush with another team IMO.

No chance we land him. He will have a deal in place with the Bricks by the end of the week, IMO.

I'd actually be shocked if a deal wasn't already in place with another organization.
I like Milwaukee's situation more than NY's from a talent and contract standpoint. But Milwaukee isn't NY. If he wants to be in the basketball center of the universe, no amount of Kohl cash will keep him from NY.

Interesting that Walsh says he will be keeping his family home in Indiana. I would think he would not be so doing, if he took the NYC job.

Why do you think this? I'm not questioning it, but wouldn't that exclude him from taking any other non-Indiana position? You think he would keep his family in Indy if he took the Milwaukee job but not the Knicks job?

Lets hope we land him. I'm not holding my breath by any means, but stranger things have happened.

It says he'll leave after the season is finished.
So don't expect anything soon with regards to Walsh.

Would Kohl really go with someone outside of his "linked compadres" i.e. Collins or Sund, and go with a proven winner?

Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum....I've been a long-time reader of the forum. I think getting Walsh is probably a pipe-dream, but who knows what will happen. Dolan will probably overpay for Walsh.

Well we have a better shot now than we did this morning. Stranger things have happened.
But I remember how excited we were when we thought we were getting Flip and we ended up with TS.
