Redd finally speaks!
I usually don't post JS articles but Redd finally speaks about whats going on and he's got some good quotes here I think

Redd, meanwhile, spent the entire fourth quarter on the bench as Krystkowiak went largely with Royal Ivey, Awvee Storey, Mo Williams and Ramon Sessions at guard and small forward. Bobby Simmons did not play because of the flu.
Asked about the fourth quarter, Redd said, "I watched the same game you watched. I'm dumbfounded. I don't know. But I refuse to let it get to me. Stay professional. Come to work the next day and keep playing hard. But I'm frustrated. I'm beyond frustrated. I mean, it's ridiculous . . . just the overall situation."
Redd said that he had expected to go back in.
"Absolutely," he said. "But it just didn't happen. I'm not going to say, 'Put me in.' But it's bizarre."Krystkowiak said that he hadn't really considered going back to Redd in the fourth quarter.
"Not at that point," he said. "We had a group of guys that were scrapping and I was a little bit cognizant of some injuries at that point. Those guys were out there playing hard. Sessions and Awvee and Ivey and those guys got after it pretty well. That's what I wanted to see more than anything was some scrapping and some ball movement."
Redd scored 19 points in the first quarter in leading the Bucks to a 37-32 lead but scored just one point the rest of the way and did not play in the fourth quarter as the Bucks lost their seventh straight road game.

I think LK's coaching is pretty funny. He's had about 20 games this year where he should have sat Redd for the entire 4th quarter (because Redd was playing like crap)
But he picked last night to finally sit him when he was actually playing pretty decent.
I just wish LK could have laid down the law a couple months ago instead of waiting till our season was finished to get tough with Redd. Maybe we're officially tanking now.

i think i hit a nerve, of course you should go to the hot hand but the people in the thread yesterday doing the same thing the quote is about. "bogut has 23 in the first half, time for a career high"
and where did mo get involved in this? the same people that think i only post about him keep bringing him up out of nowhere

Bogut was scoring in the flow of the game and not forcing. He also consistently shoots a higher % than Redd does. The two are not the same thing. It's not like Bogut forces shots through double and triple teams consistently, a la Redd.
The post should be the first option on offense anyway, if you're trying to be a good team.

i didn't bring up bogut, i brought up bogut fans in the game thread, there's a difference

This team needs a Strong GM with an experienced NBA coach. Right now it seems like no one is buying in to LK. Young teams do not historically do well with young unexperienced coaches.

I just don't understand how LK can sit Redd in this particular game. He was 6-10 overall in the game, shooting the highest percentage on the team. Bogut (who was also "hot") went down with an injury, so you'd think LK would go to the guy who scored 19 in the 1st quarter.
There may be games when Redd should be sat in the 4th, but was not one of them.

Yup. The guy is in so far over his head as an NBA head coach it's not even funny any more.

I wish Larry would have just said the real reason he didn't put redd back in. Just say it Larry, he's a selfish ballhog who never passes out of double teams and dribbles with his head down.

As in my first post I mentioned that there were plenty of games to send this message to Redd, but he picked the game where Redd was playing well (offensively at least).
I would've given LK some props if he had done this 2 months ago during the start of one of Redd's fourth quarter melt downs. Too little too late.

maybe that was the point, if you're taking him out because of his d, but you do it in a game where he's shooting/passing badly it's kind of a mixed message

If Coach K thinks it's meaningful to watch Storee, Ivey & Associates play basketball, he'd be a great coaching fit in the D League. There he could be a small-to-medium size frog in a small pond. There the simple verities of his life, the things that probably make him a great dad, might make him a decent coach.
With the Bucks, he fails at changing the behavior of his starters, so he pouts by reverting to what he understands, what he relied on as a player: Players who don't have enough talent to matter, but play the game The Right Way. (Although, personally, I don't think the scrubs play the right way either; the team infection is systemic.)
Maybe K is padding his resume to appeal to a We Try Harder college.
Maybe Kohl can try harder when he chooses the next band of bosses for his NBA asylum. Yah, sure...
