Any guesses as to who that might be? Looks like a WR. My guess is Moss.

He's not carrying a ball...might be a defensive guy...

Yeah could be, or Tyree. But I doubt they put Tyree on there.

Favre should be on it and I bet he would be if the decision was made after his retirement.

They haven't had a white guy on the cover since John Madden on the first version.

Yeah, but it's Brett Favre. And it's John Madden.

True, but I still doubt it.

If EA was smart, they'd do a limited edition "collectors" Favre cover Madden for '09... They could charge a ton for it and it would sell.

Call me an a**hole but I was sickened by all the attention his death was given last season just because he was good. Other NFL players have died tragically and not had their numbers on every teams' helmets afterwards. I am NOT saying the situation did not deserve sympathy or attention. All I'm saying is that a little bit of consistency would be nice.

Sean Taylors number wasn't on every helmet, as far as I recall, but they allowed other players to wear it, I think moreso because so many dumb football players in the NFL attended the U, so its a big family I suppose.
On another note...why do you assume that silhouette is actually the cover player? It wouldn't be too hard to black out any old player, only to use a completely different player on the actual cover? Unless you read an article where this picture was displayed where it said thats the shot.
What about Romo? I would hate it, but possible?

To me, zooming in on the image, it looks more like a Screencap of a player.
Another thing is, put an actual player in that pose, and you cant even see his face. I find it highly doubtful theyd do that.
