Just a short little interview with Yi. His english has gotten a lot better since earlier in the season I noticed. He said he is afraid of traveling for some reason. I thought it was a nice little short video.

Yeah that was a cool little piece on him. I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been more of these type of things for all his fans in China.
I think Yi just has to get used to the grind of a NBA schedule, the way refs call fouls, and the level of aggressiveness and he will be more than alright.
It was cool when he said he always watched Garnett and Duncan when he was in China. Hopefully he turns out to be anything like either one.

we Chinese fans seldom knew YI's life in NBA, it will be very excited for us if there will be more of these type of things. thank you!

I am as interested as all the fans in China to see Yi's updated progress and to learn more about his personality. I don't think that it gets talked about as much as it should (Compared to Yao's first few years in the NBA). Yi seems like he is definitely a cool guy and I wish he got more attention.
I would be interested to know what the fans in China feel about Yi so far this year, and what people in China think about his play and what he can improve on.

Yi will get attention as soon as the Bucks start becoming a winning team or if he plays a significant role on a winning team. I personally think, it's better for Yi to stay out of the media's attention. He already has a whole country, with a larger fan base than most players in the U.S, so we can only imagine how much pressure he has to face.
Right now, he can go back to China and play for the CNT and use whatever skills he improved on while playing in the NBA and showcase it at the Olympics. The main thing I hope Yi does is recognize the things he's going to need to work on in order to be successful in the NBA, wherever he plays.

Definitely agree.. media attention has only cooled on him because he is struggling right now, once he starts playing more consistently they won't be able to keep the American or Chinese media out of his face.
I think Yi recognizes what he needs to work on, again my fear is that he won't be able to use the summer to improve on his deficiencies. The kid has all the makings of a star, and I have zero concerns about his ability to rebound from a poor second half of the season.. Most important thing for us is going to be doing whatever we can to help develop this kid. He's got a bright future ahead of him.

Yi is really a cool guy. he is good-looking, so he has tons of female fans in China, we read every new about him everyday on the net and TV, so far we have always had confidence in him, eventhough he sucked in a long time, we are sure if he can improve in power and skills, he will become an all-star player as he did in CBA before.
Yi has a strong heart, he always keeps going every second and never gives up once he runs into trouble. this is the main reason I like him.
