OT: Raptors are robbed - I am robbed - God hates me

Yesterday I was in town with my friends and I decided to make some bets. I put 8 USD on following:

Bucks beat Wizards (my friends told me that I am crazy to think that)
Cavs beat Bobcats
Raptors beat Hawks
Hornets beat Miami
Dallas beat GS
Lakers beat Portland

If all of that hapens I win 283 USD. If anything doesn't hapen I lose my 8 USD.

here is my ticket:

Bucks, Cavs, Hornets, Mavs and Lakers all won. Raptors had 3 point lead in final seconds. Then Mike Bibby hit a tying three-pointer. There was 0.5 seconds left. TJ Ford made layup but officials discounted it because the ball left his hands after the final bazer. However, after watching replay it is clear that clock started early:

I am robbed. The clock showed 0.4 when TJ got the ball. With that 0.1 seconds Raptors would win and I would get my 283 USD. Damn you NBA :banghead:

Raptors fans agree with me:

God really hates me. I was brave enough to bet on Bucks. I put my 8 USD that Bucks will win ON ROAD against playoff team. I was right about that and I was right about 5 more games but **** NBA made mistake and I don't get my 283 USD :banghead:

Thats a tough one Sigra. I had the Hawks in that game and saw them down 17 I believe and thought for sure it was a loss. Hell of a hit with the other ones though still very hard to do that.

The Raptors got jobbed. At the very least they should be given the points given how Ford lost two points thanks to faulty scorekeeping last season. :D

That was against the Hawks too. Throw in Ford getting hurt this season against Atlanta and there's some seriously bad karma for Toronto when it comes to playing the Hawks.

If Derek Fisher could, catch, dribble, turn, take a drink and shoot a jumper with 3 tenths of a second vs the Spurs in the Western Finals...........then I am sure TJ can make that shot in that amount of time.

Funny though, for the Lakers they didn't start the clock until Fisher pulled up for the shot.

I just realized that I wrote "Hawks are robbed" in thread name. I am clearly upset that much that I can't think anymore. I just changed it. Raptors are robbed of course

Hold onto that ticket!

If the NBA changes the outcome of that game, will you get your money?

Sigra, your loss reminded me of my first bad beat, a parlay to win over a grand that ended with the Knicks screwing me over. This was over two years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Thanks to the power of RGM I have it all on record.

I went back and checked the gambling thread and how I started with about $10 and built it up to around $150 in about a week and then dumped it on a three team parlay. If the Knicks had covered I would have made quite a bit. If they didn't I was back to square one. My post at the end of that night:

DrugBust wrote:If I wasn't so drunk on good booze tonight I'd be really **** pissed.

I mean, I didn't think the Knicks were going to be a good team or anything, but with all the chuckers on their team I thought they could at least put up some points. But they seriously look horrendous on offense. They don't move around on the perimeter to get open looks and when they do get an open look they don't know what to do with it.

Forget about Eddy Curry. That fat POS is as worthless as Disagana Diop. He doesn't have an explosive bone in his body and wouldn't rebound unless there was a ho-ho tied to it.

I saw Marbury today on Screamin' A Smith's show. He insisted he was the best PG in the league.

Smith: "So you're better than Kidd?"
Marbury: "Just look at my game! What do you think?"

I wouldn't take him on the Bucks if you were giving his ass away. The guy looked absolutely horrible against a 19 year old kid and a rookie.

This is a gambling thread. What's the over/under on the number of days before Larry Brown ties a block of cement to his ankles and jumps into the Hudson River?

****.

I will of course

I guess so. Technicly I have like 10 days or something like that to claim money (if I win). So if NBA changes the outcome in next few days then I can walk there with innocent face and ask for my money like nothing hapened

Bummer. I thought the officials review game ending plays like that? Oh well look at the bright side side. You only lost $8. That why its called gambling. They normally don't change the official calls. The other game was changed because of scoring error.

In addition to the videos there's a thread in the General Discussion forum about the play. On page 25 of the thread, very last post, there's a picture which shows the clock has gone from 0.5 seconds left to 0.4 seconds left and yet Ford hasn't even touched the ball.

And Ilhan, I'd definitely hold onto that ticket. If the NBA doesn't either reverse this mistake or allow a replay it will be a joke.

Here's the thread in the general discussion forum:

By the way, that really was a terrific play called by Mitchell. Outstanding pass from Delfino and some serious hops by T.J. Reminded me of the Kukoc to Bogut play which beat the Spurs in Bogut's rookie year.

Only T.J. had further to jump to get the ball. :D

That's a great screen grab. 2 games in 1 year where the game day staff have screwed up this badly and the home team has won at the same venue? Wowzers!

And don't forget Atlanta is also where Ford wasn't credited with a basket. How that can happen in this day and age is beyond me. What is this, the 1920s and teams keeping score with a pencil and eraser?

Also - I believe the Hawks were 1-point favorites last night were they not? For a league with serious credibility issues when it comes to gambling this isn't going to look good at all. I'm not saying the refs were in on a fix but the league needs to take strong action to prove nothing illicit was going on.
