Think it could work or we get even worse over all?

Absolutely not. If you're going to be that bad on D, you have to have scoring from all five positions. I like Sessions as a backup PG ideally, but he's not a scorer. Mo guarding 2's and Redd guarding 3's? Get ready to give up 110 per night.

Uhh....Redd is better at defending the 3, but okay. And there's no way we're starting a Sessions/Mo backcourt. That'd instantly be the smallest backcourt in the NBA. CV plays like a 3 so that doesn't help either.

I think Mo would be fine guarding 2's. His main problem is quicker guys. Not too many SG's actually post up, so I think it would be fine.

I thought the major problem was Mo and Redd being able to stay in between their man and the basket; in theory that would be easier at the 2,3.

Just because you give up a couple of inches at the 2 and 3 doesn't exactly mean you're playing "small ball" as well. Replace CV with Dez or Jiri Welsch or something and yes, you are.

In any case Sessions is God. So I favor your move.

I'd like to see Mo against Ginobli or Kobe

I must say, as soon as I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought no.

But as I think about it more, I realize that it would be one fun team to watch. Golden State Warriors/Phoenix Suns like. It is a very intriguing thought.

What? Statistical evidence I have seen says otherwise.

Is there anything backing up this statement, or is it just you throwing it out there and hoping nobody calls you out on it?

Watching that would be like going to prison, going into the showers naked, bending over, spreading your cheeks and screaming "I LIKE IT ROUGH"

T Mac is a SF.

Obviously each match up would be different. Against the Lakers: Redd or Sessions would take Kobe. Mo guarding Luke Walton or Fisher isn't that much of a concern to me.

Mo would always take the weakest offensive player.

Labeling a player sf sg c doesnt matter...Its not like you are saying Mo is playing SG, he must guard the other team's SG...it doesn't work that way...Of course defensive assignments would be handled game by game.

Id rather ship out Mo for a defensive sg and play a lineup like the hornets:

Sessions distributing the ball (not saying he is nowhere nearly as good as Paul)

X player (brewer, M. daniels, monta ellis, raja bell type) - playing the mo pete role at sg

Redd playing the Peja role at SF

Villanueva/Yi

Bogut

Well regardless. Put Redd on T Mac. Sessions on Alston. Mo on Battier. I doubt they will start feeding Battier in the post. His offense consists standing on the 3 point line and shooting.

I think a Sessions/Mo/Mason would also work. 2 point guards on the floor could be very advantageous. Apparently in Toronto they have had success with both Ford and Calderon on the court. Sessions/Mo would be better defensively then those 2.

Why do people keep coming up with different ways to make this current team win. Give it up already. CV was he normal self. Piss poor D. He will never change. Redd played piss poor D. Will never change. Watching them trying to play D is like watching a dog chase his own tail. Give it up already.

Well since Skiles is the coach now. I see my old topic pretty much coming true now. I could even see Simmons and Dez at pf in short spurts too. We would look nice during the regular season like the Suns. Then be exploited badly come playoffs.
