He's the antithesis of Mo Williams. He defends and is a naturally intelligent floor leader. I'd love to see him on this team. Will he even go for the mid-level exception? Outside of Rose (and Mayo if you consider him a PG), an overall weak point guard class might help him, in my opinion.

Duhon has some issues, he's not the choir boy antithesis of MO. I don't see him getting more than around 2.5.

wow this shows how sad the situation in milwaukee has come, people are actually curious about chris Duhon, this is sad. All i can say isthat i hope chris duhon "prices" himself out of milwaukee, cuz although the shift to defense is a nice idea we still need guys that can legitimately play at the NBA level

I understand he hasn't exactly been a choir boy in Chicago this season. However, I wonder if some of that is overblown just as some things on this board are taken out of proportion just because things are going badly for the team. Some of that might have to do with Boylan being a terrible coach.

Anyways, his assist to turnover ratio is always solidly at or above 3:1, which is the target for point guards, and we know he'll defend. He's not a very good shooter, but that's not what this team needs at point guard presently.

The Bucks are already paying Charlie Bell three million a year to play backup PG and we have a young second round pick in Sessions that hopefully can be a good backup PG, the last thing the Bucks need to do is spend multi-millions more on third backup point guard.

Red flag.

Duhon is on a terrible team with a terrible PG rotation this year, yet they can't wait to get rid of him. Let's pick him up.

I love how people would give him the benefit of the doubt for acting the fool in the locker room because he's sick of losing. Must be the anti-thesis of Mo. Anyway, if he's sick of losing, why the hell would he come here?

You can find a Chris Duhon in the 2nd round of any NBA draft. Same went with Steve Blake.

Again, it is clear we need to improve our defense, but as is the problem, do we have the $ and cap room to bring in anyone that is defensively orientated that is still worth sitting down Mo, Redd, CV, or Bogut?? And is a Chris Duhon at all an upgrade from Bell?

And even at SF, while Dez is certainly a below average NBA starter at that position, what defensive minded guy do we bring in that is even that big of an upgrade there.

This is Hollinger's 06/07 summary and scouting report for Duhon...notice this was written before this season, yet it still leads with his rep as a partier.

Every time I see Duhon, I picture Scott Skiles channeling Eddie Murphy ("My guard wants to party all the time, party all the time, party all the time ..."). Duhon reportedly missed multiple team events due to his love of the nightlife -- including a film session before Game 3 of the Detroit series (according to the Chicago Sun-Times) -- and that had Chicago pursuing trade options after the season.

When on the court, Duhon produced what was nearly an exact replica of his 2005-06 season. The only notable difference was a decline to 75.2 percent at the free-throw line, which combined with a dip in his free-throw attempts to knock his player efficiency rating down a touch.

Actually, it was amazing that he even matched his '05-06 numbers considering what happened to him in January. Duhon had a horrid midseason shooting slump, shooting 20.8 percent for the month and making only four of his 30 3-point attempts; his high game for the month was six points, if you can believe that. Fortunately he recovered, but that stretch marked the death of the setup in which Duhon started and Ben Gordon came of the bench; from here on out it's Duhon coming off the pine.

Scouting report: Duhon is a limited offensive player who mostly relies on catch-and-shoot attempts from the top of the key for his offense. He had the sixth-highest rate of 3-point attempts per field-goal attempt among point guards, taking half of his shots from downtown, where he is a decent marksman (35.9 percent). Otherwise he's a pass-first guy who posts a decent assist ratio. But one would like to see him penetrate more and set the table more easily -- he was in the bottom 10 among point guards in usage rate.

Duhon is a good defender against point guards. He moves his feet and has good fundamentals. That skill might be more valuable elsewhere than it is Chicago; it's not like Kirk Hinrich needs bailing out at that end.

Random sidenote: fittingly, I saw Duhon at a bar in New York City last summer. He wasn't doing anything crazy, but I thought it was fitting given I don't think I've ever seen an NBA player in person at a bar...kinda made sense that Duhon would be the first (either him or Markota).

Case in point. If you can't find the equivalent or better of Chris Duhon in the draft, your franchise is doomed anyway.

I think Duhon is a decent backup but this draft is loaded with PG prospects who have considerably higher ceilings than Duhon so I don't feel like he'd be a top guy to pursue. And if Sessions continues to show that he can at worst be a solid backup then that position is filled. I'd rather go with Sessions as a starter next season than give anything up to get Duhon - and I'm not saying the Bucks should give the starting job to Sessions just to be clear.

Interesting note in this week's ESPN the Magazine about Duhon. According to the report - one former Bull said the players believe Duhon is the best PG on the team and once his minutes declined under Boylan that's when the team lost its faith in him as a heade coach.
