Derrick Rose vs Deron Williams...Better? I think not!

Post#1 » by NotYoAvgNBAFan » Sun Apr 13, 2008 4:05 am

I dont know if this deserves a lofty status as a thread topic or whether it is applicable to our Bucks.'

But I have read and heard many people have the audacity to say Derrick Rose a college freshman is a NBA Star and Hall or Famer, and that he is "special"...

In fact they say, I would take him over Chris Paul and he is better then Deron Williams of the Jazz.

Come on now people..come on! Do not compare Derrick Rose in any way shape or form to any PG in the NBA much less those two in the NBA West!

He is the flavor of the month I know...and the chic #1 pick. I will go out on a limb right now and say Eric Gordon or Michael Beasley will be a better Pro then Derrick Rose will.

No knock on Rose. If he goes to the right team he will be as good as CP in New Orleans and Deron in Utah or even Conley and Felton and Ford someday...

But hold on. I wish the Bucks' would take a look at him but posture like you would take him and then go with Michael Beasely or Eric Gordon who competes if you are fortunate enough to get a top 3 pick.

One thing is for sure...you have to make these lottery picks Bogut, Yi, pan out!

We goofed trading Ford who I think can be as good as Paul and Deron if used right...when Bogut and Redd ran him off because they were not in shape to run with him.

But Rose better then Deron?

:noway: I dont know...

Williams is better than Rose right now and probably will be just as good or better for their entire careers. However, if you are going to compete against guys like Williams and Paul, you'll need a guy like Derrick Rose.
