Exit Interviews Postponed For Now By Hammond

Hammond reportedly was planning on meeting with each of the players individually at the end of this week. But Hammond has postponed them for now, saying the players need a break and he'll meet with them at a later date. I do not know when that date will be.

For what it's worth, Hammond originally told the players they would be meeting with him at the end of the week, not him and Krystkowiak. Read into that what you will.

Wants to seal the deal on a new coach before he meets with the players individually.

Or perhaps the deal is already sealed with someone.

I think you might be right. At least then he can say he looked to get someone to build the team the right way, not the way certain players demanded.

CBQ- off topic now that Larry is gone can you reveal what that trade was with the Hawks that never went down?

I heard Hammond say in an interview maybe Saturday that he wasn't going to do any exit interviews.....said he'd be too busy with other things (i.e. hiring a coach)

Interesting. Harris always did the exit interviews right after the season before the players scattered.

But I agree, Hammond is focusing on the coach first and let's face it, a lot of these guys won't be back anyway.

What are you Atlanta's GM on a forum and you're not allowed to share? I don't understand why a passed deal is top secret.

What if you send and email to GAD with the details of the trade, GAD sends it to me, I find out but am sworn to secrecy?

I would love to get a transcript of Hammond's interview with Awvee Storey. I bet Hammond doesn't even know who he is.

Hammond: Hello, and you are?
Storey: Awvee Storey.
Hammond: Who?
Storey: Awvee Storey.
Hammond: I'm going to be honest, I have no idea who the hell you are.
Storey: Damnit old man, respect me! Don't make me do to you what I did to Martynas Andriuskevicius! (Storey storms out of office in a rage.)

I bet Hammond thinks he's being mugged and calls security.

I think he'd mistake him for the Janitor.

We have talked about revealing certain details before..honestly the only reason I even mentioned that I knew about the deal was because it was presented as a definite go, but the best laid plans with the assistance of Kohl don't ever seem to go through. I still can't reveal what I know because my sourceS are aware that I post on here and I have been asked not to do that.

That's fine..like I said when another poster questioned my knowledge or credentials as an insider, I'm not going to jeporadize my contacts to prove anything to anyone on a message board. Typically I don't post what I know anyway..so if people tend not to believe me on trades or whatever then that's fine.
