The 2 trades I could see being made that would make sense for all parties would be...
Redd to the Cavs
Mo to the Blazers
I am not sure what would come back but those 2 teams would seem to be good fits for those 2 players.

Miami and Portland would both take on Mo for the right deal.
Cleveland would love to have Redd and they have a bunch of expiring contracts to offer. Otherwise I could see Minnesota being interested in him.

ok this will be the official trade thread until draft night we dont need 50 million trade threads all offseason. we can one for Mo and Redd. or this one can be for both just a thought....
I dont care who we trade I just say what Ari Gold (Entourage) says to them " Get the **** Out"

Woeffel said this morning that "many teams would love to trade for Michael Redd if he became available"
When he makes statements like that, I wonder how much he knows about the salary cap. I wouldn't doubt that many times would love to have Michael Redd.....at about $9.5 to $10mm a year.

Mo for Outlaw/Frye
Redd for Sczcerbiak (expiring after 08-09 at $13M)/West/Cavs 2008 first
Just throwing them out there.

I don't doubt that there are lots of teams that would love to have Redd. I doubt that many of them would offer us pieces that we're interested in for him, though.

If we were to do a Redd deal like that, we ought to be able to dump one of our crap contracts on them as well.
I doubt Portland would give up that much, especially considering how badly Mo's contract sucks.

if we could get redd to the cavs, they would need to give up alot, considering they r conference rivals. throw in more than szcerbiak, like damon jones cuz of his contract and maybe some talented ppl and we'll be good

Would the Bucks be interested in a expiring Lamar Odom contract for Redd?

These trades may not work out COMPLETELY...maybe a small filler would need to be added:
1. Redd/Gadz for Wally/Smith/Varejao/19th pick
2. Mo/Simmons for Outlaw/Raef/13th pick

That division/conference rivals thing is crap, we play the Cavs just as much as we play the Heat, Magic, etc.

I am just gonna put this on record in the official trade thread rather than try and argue this point repeatedly in other threads but i think people are down on the value that players like Mo Redd and CV actually have throughout the league. This season was horrendous for this team and as a unit these players for sure did not fit together. But that does not change the fact all three of these players are young and very talented. I think the market for their services will be better than most think assuming we don't go straight firesale, desparation never lends itself to being advantageous. But with the hiring of a steady NBA mind like Hammond i dont think we get percieved in that light and the value we get back should be servicable not just crap or salary dump.
Anyways just thought i would say that here and save myself repeatedly sayin this another 500 times up till draft time. although I am sure i will snap and reiterate at some points

Lets blow it up, get Miami's first round pick somehow and then take Rose or Beasley I would give up Redd and Mo for one of those two

He also thought this was a playoff team in Feb. He overrates Redd to no end.

Are you sure that the Cavs can trade their pick for this year?
I don't like what we can get from CLE for Mike, I'd like to get some value in return, because we should build both for the future and for the present.

The Bucks are not going to improve on defense with the current players. I really don't think Hammond will trade Redd this off-season. That leaves a potential core right now of Bogut, Yi, and Redd. The best pieces the Bucks have to move after that are Williams, Charlie, and Mason (due to his expiring contract). They need to bring in some players who actually play defense and may need to take a chance on e player or two.
What do you guys think of brininging in Artest for Williams. He has been relatively quiet in Sacramento, plays defense, and would be the type of acquisition that could pay off big, similar to Rasheed in Detroit.
It is a risk but these are the types of chances Hammond needs to take if he wants to build the Bucks back up quickly. If not start dumping contracts and hold off for the big 2010 off-season.
