Larry K. Fired

No surprise here.
Larry K. called Woeful after his meeting with Hammond this morning and said, "I am no longer coach of the Milwaukee Bucks."
Larry K. is a great man and I wish him the best in the future. ... our young team has very little leadership and just needs a different type of coach or at least a more experienced one. Good luck Larry!

I think most of us did, wasn't that the case?
And I agree with others in wishing Krystkowiak the best. He's a good man. He just isn't cut out to be an NBA head coach.
Now go get Carlisle.

Krystkowiak fired by Bucks
By Charles F. Gardner
Thursday, Apr 17 2008, 12:14 PM
Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak was fired today, sources confirrmed, one day after the team finished a deeply disappointing season with a 26-56 record.
Krystkowiak, who was named head coach on March 15, 2007, won 31 of 100 games with the Bucks. His final defeat came as the Bucks fell in overtime, 110-101, to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night in Minneapolis.
New Bucks general manager John Hammond said earlier this week that he would move quickly to determine Krystkowiak

Larry is one of my favorite all time Bucks players. I really thought and hoped he would do a great job as coach. For whatever reason it didn't work out. It's too bad he and Larry Harris didn't have the chance to make their own decisions like Hammond is apparently being allowed to do now. I know things would have been better. But more than anything I want the Bucks to win so this is probably the best thing that could happen regardless. Kohl is looking to put quality and proven people in place and hopefully let them do their jobs.

Farewell Larry K, I never even learned how to spell your name.
I had an optimism for the Larry K era that I did not begin the Porter or Stotts era with. And that optimism grew those first 10 games. He had delivered on everything he promised: defense, passioned play, pride... but then the bottom fell out and things spiraled to Stottsian and Porterifian levels. At least Porter and Stotts each took us to the playoffs once.
Gosh... I can't wait to get a coach that actually delivers on what he promises for two consecutive seasons.
Porter, Stotts, and Larry K all seemed kind and classy. I kind of feel bad for all three that things didn't work out. My only hope is that Kohl took a long look in the mirror a few weeks ago (when the Larry K firing became inevitable) and realized the culture of the organization was going to have to change big time if the cycle was going to be broken.

Larry K was simply overmatched by players who didn't care and by a level of expertise demanded that he didn't have

+1
Wonder if their is a Newsie Conf set for it...Will the Bucks say that they have a list...or that they have been talking to people...Will they confirm talks with those peeps?
I would LOVE to have him still on staff but I think that's a bit too much to ask from a guy that just got fired.
Good Luck Larry!
