I wasn't able to listen to the entire interview fully, I was in and out the room but here is what I heard:
Said he doesn't like firing people, knowing how it feels, effecting your family.
Needs to have a great working relationship with the coach, feels he needed to be the guy to choose the coach.
Met with all the players yesterday some he talked more then the others.
Talked about free agents and current players that if they are going to play here they are going to have to play here and live here. He wants full commitments from all his players to the team and state.
Would not talk about potential coaches
at the end he said he is going to do everything he can to bring back this franchise. (I truly believed him when he said that)
sorry I couldn't hear the entire interview I was busy if anyone else heard it post more.

"Living here..."
I couldn't agree more... Look at all the Bucks players that were successful and contributed: those that lived in Wisconsin; Ray, Glenn, Scotty, they stayed here year-round. Not like a Redd, not like others that work and then bounce outta here faster then they say see-ya. It's important for these guys to be in the commuity, to be seen, to be involved. Desmond did that at first but I don't blame him as he's been bounced around but guys with long-term contracts should consider making this HOME.

Whether this guy knows talent or not only time will tell......
But he is a major step up from Larry in that he tells you nothing. What made Larry so great for us fans was the fact he was like Brett Favre. He couldn't lie. Sure, we'd all call him the snake and used car salesman, but when asked a question, Larry always felt the need to start talking. And it was damn interesting and entertaining.
Hammond is more a Kohl type employee. Don't say anything and read your answers from the script book. The bit this morning about "Well, we started the coaching search yesterday afternoon" was classic.
Hell, if that had been Larry, he would have been telling us about what Carlisle ordered for dinner last weekend......
I do give Hammond credit though for at least going through the motions and appearing on all these radio shows. I think it is part of the new sports landscape.
What these hosts need to do though is ask him NBA questions not related to the Bucks. He won't answer those. But ask him questions about other NBA players, teams and coaches. Those answers will give us a window as to what he likes and doesn't like.

Larry backed off a bit last year, but I remember his first couple years, where he would answer emails with what was probably unprofessional candor. I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers him saying that he had no interest in Villanueva because of his questionable work ethic. Then a year later ends up trading for him; probably grateful that the search feature at realgm doesn't work.

Yeah I can't blame Hammond for playing it close right now. I'm sure the coaching selection will come out of nowhere just as his selection did. Eventually he may develop a rapport with a reporter or two and be more forthcoming.
But I'd rather have a guy do a good job than talk about doing a good job.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
