Knicks to hire Mark Jackson?
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgns
Given the kind of money they have to bring in an established coach and how much of a mess that organization is, this seems like questionable hire to me. I have nothing against Mark Jackson, just saying.
Well, at least this doesn't take away one of the top candidates from the pool.

I don't understand it either. Jackson is obviously a very knowledgeable guy having played with a lot of great teams in his career, and also a guy who doesn't seem like he'd take **** from anyone. However, you'd think Walsh might be more than a little skeptical about bringing in a guy to turn around one of the worst franchises in sports with ZERO coaching experience.

Yeah, I think that Zeke may be a better option than Mark Jackson. Maybe even LK since he has more experience. This does not make any sense for a team in that city with that roster.

I am suprised that no one caught this at the end of the article:
New Bucks GM John Hammond, who fired Larry Krystkowiak on Thursday, has also expressed an interest with New Orleans assistant Darrell Walker and Mike Fratello, a league source said. If Skiles goes to the Bucks, deposed Indiana University coach Kelvin Sampson is expected to be offered a job on his coaching staff.

After spending the 2003-2004 season playing with the Golden State Warriors, Johnson signed as a player-coach with the Dallas Mavericks under Don Nelson. Johnson had played under Nelson from 2001-2003, and it was understood from the beginning that Johnson was being groomed to eventually succeed Nelson as head coach. On October 28, 2004, Johnson retired from playing to concentrate full-time on coaching, and his transition from assistant to head coach came five months later on March 19, 2005.

That honestly doesn't surprise me in the least. Sampson has a very inflated opinion of himself.

Good point. I'd heard the same thing but it still did surprise me that he had the stones to try and insist upon only being considered for a head coaching job after what went down in Indiana. That's some serious stones.
Nothing will not break me.
