When can we expect to see roster changes?

This is more of a general question into when teams can start trading.
Will we be looking to move guys on draft night, or will we wait until the summer to trade guys?

I honestly don't expect to see any moves. Maybe a small deal with Villanueva, but even he I could see sticking around.
I think that there's a general feel that any trade with Mo or Redd means we're likely getting the short-end on the talent stick. I think that given the choice between a team void in ability but high in character and effort, or a team with a lot of talent but very undisciplined, Skiles and Hammond will at least start the year with the talented roster.
They can always blow the thing up down the line. They're not on a one or two year plan. I think Skiles is going to want a chance to mold these clowns to fit his scheme.

I agree. Our roster has talent, there's no doubting that. And we have to remember that since George Karl, we've had terrible, unproven coaches in Milwaukee. That's the worst thing you can have with a young team.
I think a minor deal or two will go down, but we'll give it a try for a little while with a veteran coach.

I'm not saying I wouldn't blow it up. I would.
I would just expect to see Skiles and Hammond give it a shot to get a feel regarding who they can go ahead with and who they can't. Maybe one of Redd, Williams, Yi, Bogut or Villanueva really mesh well with what Skiles wants to do. Maybe some or none do.
But I'd be surprised if this thing is taken apart before Skiles has a chance to coach them.

I think the Bucks will be a gradual fix. They'll probably look to trade Mo Williams, whether they draft a PG or not. I think Villanueva may be the next to go. And I think they'd like to dump Gadzuric.
Beyond that I wouldn't expect a sudden and drastic changeover, unless I was a Knicks fan.

As soon as you're done with games, so we can already trade with other teams who have gone fishing. I don't remember ever seeing any trades with the playoffs still going on though, so probably not until then.

Those expecting a blowup need to be patient. We have guys that can be moved and it takes two teams to trade. And while I would gladly give away some guys (Gadz), other guys like Mo and Redd do have some value and I want some value in return.

i for one would imagine atleast 3/4 players gone atleast 2 of redd mo or villanueva.
i doubt they play a little under skiles. i mean does it take a genius to figure out skiles wont like villanueva, redd,or mo.
redd is a what 8 year player and hasn't played a lick of D since he has been a starter why would any coach besides riley, jacson, sloan change that. villanueva just can't play defense kinda like mason can't make a layup villanueva cant play defense, and mo i think he has the optential to be a skiles guy if redd is moved.
redd and mo must be split up ASAP otherwise they will feed off of eachother no D chuckin asses.
so i do not believ we will have the same starting backcourt to start this season. if skiles believes bogut can be a dominant D player then maybe, just maybe CV is safe, but i doubt it.

I think we see a move or two at the draft (aside from our pick). I also fully expect to see Mo moved before training camp. The last thing I will say is that I am calling BS on Yi being moved. There is no way we move Yi and the have CV as our starting 4. Skiles would literally murder him. Yi at least can play something resembling defense.

Skiles seems to prefer hard working hustle players who can defend. Hammond says winning starts with defense. How many of our players fit into this?
Bell, Mason, Bogut. Maybe Sessions and Yi. The rest? Not a chance.
I don't think we will blow up the team as that is a lot to ask, but I do think there will be changes and certainly not a we can make this group of players work.

I see no chemistry, and talent is a very vague word, I don't see many complete players and I don't see many intelligent players.....I doubt there will be alot of changes but I do believe the current backcourt won't be intact and I also believe CV will be moved because he will be in the last year of his rookie deal.

CV has to be gone. I think Skiles would kill him.

I hope we keep the roster as is. I would love to see Skiles and this back court together. From the comments we've seen I cant wait to here Redd and Mo complain about being treated poorly because they didnt follow coach's instructions on an end of game play. Whip them in to shape Scotty!

I found this to be a funny comment from CV that I took off of Bucks.com...
When asked about his playoff predictions he liked Detroit and said the following, lol...
"And the Pistons just lost their assistant GM (new Bucks GM John Hammond), so that will hurt them. Make sure you put that in there, and that it came out of my mouth."
Don't think it's gonna be enough to keep you here buddy...

The challenge with moves is that most teams like to let the draft lotto and the draft night itself start to play out before doing anything.
I guess I wouldn't expect anything until draft night at the earliest. And since Mo is still BYC until July 1st, he'll be here until then (or in a draft night deal that isn't formalized until July 1st)
Maybe after the lotto drawing and the June pre-draft we could see a move but who knows.
I'd predict though that two of the three of CV, Redd and Mo will not be on the roster by the start of next season.

I agree we dont need our coach going to prison that would mean we would have to hire a new coach again..

I'd expect one major move and that's about it. Detroit was pretty patient and methodical in waiting for the right deals to come along. I can very much see Hammond and Skiles desiring some veteran leadership on this team, and I can see a deal for a guy that will change the feel of the locker room and lead by example on the floor.

I heard Skiles on 3 different radio stations Monday afternoon...but one thing he said that was somewhat small, but interesting was that the Bucks would have 2-3 draft picks and the ability to add some quality talent in that respect....I paraphrased of course, but the 2-3 draft picks stood out to me and might a bit of foreshadowing.
