Chris Broussard reporting that Carlisle may be in Chicago as soon as this week with Stotts and Dwane Casey as his top assistants. Any truth to this bigzy or epi?

That looks to be a damn fine coaching staff if this is the case. Two top assistants both with NBA head coaching experience.

I don't know about that, but he's a fine assistant.

At least. LK was terrible and Stotts was probably below average. Stotts, is a very bright coach and is easily one of the best assistants in the league. I am just not sure he is a head coach type based on his personality. He may get another shot as a head coach, but I cannot imagine that LK will. His best bet is in college or as an assistant in the pros.

I think Epi said that it was quite possible that Stotts lands with Carlisle depending on what team. Obviously he wouldn't have come here if we hired Carlisle.

Do those guys have any past association with Carlisle?

Usually a coach hires assistants that he has worked with previously.

I doubt Paxson will hire someone as soon as next week.there is no hurry. Carlisle is talked about a lot but no one seems interested in talking to him. Bucks didnt, NY probably wont. No hurry for Bulls to act that quickly

I think Carlisle might yes, Epi would know.

I think the Bucks did interview Carlisle but the word was that we wanted a quick response and he wasn't willing to do that. He wanted to weigh all his options first.

Skiles in Milwaukee, Stotts in Chicago

My two favorite teams just switched coaches.

At least Stotts won't be the HC.

I don't know anything outside of the good friends aspect. My email is a mess and the younger guy with computer science background who normally helps me is quarreling with me about the presidential primary. Ergo it will stay a mess until we patch up our political bikering.

It certainly would be an All-Star coaching staff. I believe Casey and Stotts are also good friends.

Epster, does this mean you are leaving us for the Bulls board?

I always wondered why Stotts never went back to Karl's coaching staff....Why wouldn't Karl welcome him back his years as a head coach was with Stotts by his side.

I will be with you all days, even until the consummation of the earth. Besides where can I get such easy stuff to refute. Thank you, MD and your impressionistic troupe.

After his time with the Bucks, I believe their relationship became strained and their working relationship was terminated.

I'm sure Epi could provide more info on the falling out

1. For most those years while karl was in Denver, Stotts had a head coaching job and this past year he would lose money by coaching in the NBA.
2. Karl and Stotts did not part in good terms.

You think we provide you with easy stuff to refute? The Bulls board is much bigger Epi. That would be a big undertaking.

Bigger = mob mentality = unrefuted claims galore = panic

Reddzone, one would think you want me gone for here. This town ain't big enough for the both of us, Epi. I prefer the bucolic ambivalence of this forum. It is my missionary assignment.

Nope, to be honest I really enjoy your posts.

I just think it would be funny watching you interact with Bull's fans, they wouldn't know what hit 'em.

:D

I think if Epi spent some time on the Bulls board he would come to appreciate just how intelligent all of us on the Bucks board really are. 8)

I more than appreciate now how intelligent some of us are on this board. I also appreciate how some can't quite get their impressions from the reptillian section of their brain to the more analytical seciton. Ears burning, md?
