Gadzuric

If he remains on this team (due to being untradeable), we have to somehow find a way to make him the primary backup C. We can't keep bringing in guys like Skinner and Voskuhl at a couple million per pop to make Gadz a third stringer.
I clearly hate Gadz as much as anyone. However, I thought he was decent enough on the defensive end this year. He continues to be a complete joke offensively, and I have no idea why we continue to feed him the ball on that end. But, the defense was good enough.
If we can retain Ruffin at the minimum again, that has to be the rotation.

I have lost all hope for Helen Keller. He doesn't seem to have any basic basketball skills.

I'd keep Ruffin for the minimum. We're going to need him when Gadzuric fouls out in his 5 minutes.

I have no hope for him either, but we need to figure something out.
He's taking up ~12% of the cap. He needs to carry a little bit of weight.
Skiles seemed to give up on Chandler, but by the same turn he sought out (in concert with Paxson) guys like Wallace, Noah, and Thomas. Who knows.

He looks just as lost on defense as he does on offense.

Gadz played fine in the backup center role the first month of the year when everyone was playing well and were motivated.
I'm ok keeping him around under the new regime if we can't dump him. And as many Bulls posters note, Skiles plays small ball a lot, so if we trade for a Haslem type, that guy will be playing center a lot anyways.

I want to trade him with Mo to the Cavs for Wally and a first. All he seems good at these days is working his way down to 4th string as the season progresses.

I'd be all for keeping Ruffin and letting him battle Gadz for backup minutes.

You need to play Gadz with a bench unit that runs up and down the court a lot, and you need to play him with guys who know when to pass to him and when to freeze him out. Also helps if he plays with a pf who can draw the defense and set up Gadz for an easy dunk, like Kukoc always did.
One good thing about Gadz, he can get a lot of rebounds because of his sheer height, length, athleticism, and activity level, so you can play him with a pf who's weak on the glass and you won't be giving up that much in the rebounding department. Too bad there aren't many TK clones out there, he's one of the few guys who has made Gadz an asset.

Pat Calathes might be a guy who could help us in that regard.

If the Roster doesn't change, play him with a lineup of Sessions, Mo, Redd, CV. There won't be any shots left for him. Meanwhile, he'll look like a defensive madman by comparison.

Gadz will make more next year than Hammond and Skiles combined.

As do most players on this team
