Well, the effort is one thing. The fact that he's a much better dunker than Rudy is the other. If Alexander played for the Bricks he'd be in the contest unquestionably.

Too bad Joe, we supported you; it was those damn Memphis fans that screwed you and are now attempting to screw us.

We will find out Tuesday if the Conley deal goes down. Francis buyout and Miles 10-day contract will be up and now there's no reason for Kohl to keep Joe for publicity purposes.

My take is the deal is dead and I'm fine with that!

Seriously, anybody that watched the game on DirectTV last night would understand why you didn't make it. I couldn't believe the Clipper's announcer wouldn't believe that you were actually one of the 3 individuals up for voting or that you even had a website supporting your efforts.

It was pathetic, they even had to pull out a video at half-time to convince the a-hole that you were worthy. Just a pity!

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Alexander put together easily the most entertaining campaign and if all things were equal that should have been enough for him to win in a landslide. But I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if all things weren't equal. Too bad because Alexander deserved to go.

My question is - will M&M be invited to play in the Rookie/Sophomore game? He sure as hell better be.

But who actually saw this campaign? They weren't televised commercials. The youtube videos average about 12,000 views each (the ones he made, not the nba.com versions). I'm not questioning whether or not he deserved to go, but the "campaign" really might not have been as big as you make it out to be.

The NY Times did a story about Alexander and his campaign last week. It was getting national coverage.

I think each team has to have at least one player involved in one all-star event so yes I think LRMM will be our guy this year.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Agreed. I would love to see him chase around Durant. Also, who would keep Midas off the boards?

I think both JA and Westbrook deserved it over Rudy, personally.

What a disappointment. Who actually voted for Rudy? He isn't in the same league as the other contestants. Let's just replace Nate Robinson and Rudy with JA and Westbrook, PLEASE!

They should have just allowed all the guys into the dunk contest. Back in the day they used to have a lot more guys.
"I just wanted to play because I just love the game," Jennings said. "It doesn't matter to me. I get up to play basketball. It's my job. I have to still be a professional and finish the season."

i agree with this, make it 3 rounds. like 2 dunks a piece in the first round and eliminate half. then do whatever they have planned for this year for the last 4

Having Rudy in the contest represents "good business" for Stern and the league. Oh well.

Official results are on NBA.com. It said 500,000 votes were cast with about 250,000 going to Rudy. Westbrook had around 145,000 and Joe had only 115,000. Never would have thunk it

Unfortunately you need to allot about 20 minutes for Nate Robinson.

That whole voting thing was rigged as hell,I bet if you polled 10,000 general NBA fans 99% of them do not wnat to see Rudy in the dunk contest and would have rather seen JA or at least Westbrook.Yet Rudy wins the voting? Yea right lmao.
