Skiles deserves some credit for keeping this team mentally sharp and focused admist all of the real adversity and then putting players in position to succeed, find their niche, and being to feel good about themselves...
Surely are the All Star break that is coming up, he has met all of my expectations for what I thought and knew he would bring to our team with his track record in the past.
Since both Bogut and Redd and more recently Luke Ridnour has gone down, the team has began to display an inner toughness, maturity, and strength that is not been seen around here in a long time.
Part of that is playing a tougher player in Sessions and allowing him the freedom to flourish and part is it is evident that they practice well.
Almost every game you see something new that they have not done so you know the guys are being coachable and buying into what he is selling which is the sign of any credible coaching effort.
And there is some consistency you are starting to see in effort, focus, gameplan and execution on both ends of the floor. Now I am not saying they will storm back and make the playoffs I am not the one to control that...they are.
Nor am i ready to say this team is set as far as roster changes go. Keith Bogans was a nice pickup but there is still more to be done.
But Coach Skiles and his staff minue Lionel Hollins who I thought would really help is doing a nice job...are they not? A very under the radar type job so far...if you ask me.
The Soft, Fragile, Losing, Culture needs to change and it is...

Good post, MBBOT06.
Looking through the rose-colored glasses of an easy win against a decent team (a good team downgraded a notch for recent problems), the Bucks played the whole game with a Yes, We Can attitude. The energy was strong, the defense helped each other and hindered the Rockets, the offense moved the ball smartly and (as Chones kept saying) got good shots and took them without hesitation.
When they play like that, even the bottom half of the roster can contribute. Fun to watch.

The team isn't giving up, it's good to see. The effect Skiles has on this team is clearly shown.

It's interesting that you give Skiles lots of props (rightly so in my opinion) and in another thread dismiss what Sessions has done.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

You are all over the place. Whats next? If we lose the next game you will blame Skiles and say Sessions is going to be a great player.

Scott Skiles is becomming Mr Milwaukee Bucks. It's all about him getting players to play hard, tough, and unselfish. I love'em. I don't know if he will last four years, or 14 years, but he is what this franchise needed, someone who gets the respect from the players, and calls it how he see's it to the players face.
He holds them accountable, and slowly the players are beginning to hold each other accountable. I said prior to these last two games all is well, and moving forward I firmly believe that. IOW, the sky isn't falling in Milwaukee.
I think things are fine in Bucks Nation. We are one trade away from being really set in the future.
Note: Could someone pull up my old thread entitled "There Is A Plan You Know".
