TI - a non RJ Blazer deal

Post#1 » by eagle13 » Wed Feb 18, 2009 2:34 am

Say Blazers take Wallace or whoever instead of RJ for LaFrentz straight up or w/ pick but with no other Blazer players.

THEN...

Luke & Allen & top 7 protected 1st
for
Frye(expiring) Diogu(expiring) & Fernandez

we'd actually be better this year
and
have cap space for both ramon & cv & keep RJ and have young PG prospect (consider Fernandez next year's 1st).

I don't think the Blazers do this. Ridnour is injured and they want a vet to be a contender this year. Luke Ridnour is not the guy that puts you over the hump.

Besides, they have so many young guys, they don't want or need draft picks. They want vets to carry these young guys to contention.

Luke is almost back from a non lingering type injury. He is experienced. So is Malik Allen. lol

Hadn't thought about this, but how about Diogu and Frye for Ridnour? Saves us a bit. Neither player really contributes big minutes to the Blazers. I would throw in a 2nd round pick if necessary.
