I somewhat disagree. I liked what I saw out of TJ and he had been the college player of the year, but he never put together a stretch of games like Ramon did last year or this year. He had that excellent first game (11/7/11) but then only 2 more double-doubles the rest of the season, plus he couldn't finish in traffic at all. I thought he could be a star, but he had a long way to go and didn't show as much as Ramon. What TJ had going for him was youth but his injury apparently ruined his development and since he's been back he's been good, but a normal PG, not a pass first, 2nd, and 3rd guy like we had all hoped for.

I honestly believe with reasonable health (not everyone playing 82 games, but expected average health) this was around a 45 win team this year. Not going based on what I predicted before the season (I had us at 40 wins), but based on what I saw on the court. Bogut missing that many games and also playing at what appeared to be less than 100% for much of the season really killed any shot at that.

Get us into next season with Sessions/LRMAM/RJ/CV/Bogut, regardless of bench, and I would be pretty excited about the roster heading into next year. If the lack of deadline activity costs us all three of CV/2009 1st/Ersan, then I'm not as pumped.

03-04 for now. It could change depending on how the Bucks play during these last 24 games or so. But that 03 team was really exciting to watch. I loved Kukoc and Joe Smiths' veteran presence, Skinner was solid that year, Damon Jones and Dez were great, and Gadz wasn't that bad that year.

That year it seemed like Gadz was a beast but only with Kukoc on the court. If only we could have Kukoc as an assistant to help develop some of our talent. Maybe Gadz would actually be good for more than 4 and 5. And by that I mean 4 minutes and 5 fouls.

Too bad we chose Gadz over Zaza.

Looking at the current team coming into the season (pre Mason trade) I thought we would have another run and dunk team. Rjeff was viewed as a finisher, We still had Mason and Alexander. After we traded Dez I thought we could still have a pretty exciting team. But it seems like we draft great college athletes who forget how to dunk when they get to the NBA. Noel won the freakin college dunk contest. Did he dunk in a game ever as a buck?

08-09 was better to watch because the uniforms are better.

03-04 was better so far, but there is time remaining and 08-09 could eclipse it.

08-09 has a chance because after TJ's injury against the Timberwolves, the 03-04 season wasn't the same at all.

Also, even though it seemed like a net positive of a trade, I don't think the TT/KVH trade ended up being a positive for on-court chemistry, which is an amazing thing to say when you are talking about trading away Tim Thomas. Also, KVH tended to disappear in the playoffs whereas Tim Thomas would actually play better in the playoffs than he did in the regular season.

That 03-04 team limped into the playoffs.

I think this 08-09 team gets into the playoffs, but if they do, they won't be limping in.
