Re: Game Thread
Haha... Emory looked quite shaky out there last night. I did like what I saw with Carcillo paired up with Kane/Hos though.
At least someone is still paying attention to this board...

Re: Game Thread
regarding Canuck game last night....
I noticed at the very end of the game (last minute or two), players on the ice for the Hawks included, Carcillo, Montador, Scott and Mayers. An odd combination. I'm sure it was no coincidence that it was the Canucks. Seemed like Coach Q wasn't taking any chances if Vancouver decided to become especially chippy near the final horn.

Re: Game Thread
This Blackhawks team is good. I don't think we're as good as the Stanley Cup team yet but with the right moves at the deadline, we might be seeing the cup back in Chicago. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are both playing at an unreal level right now and Corey Crawford is better than Niemi was I think. We'll see how he responds in the playoffs as well as Niemi did.

Re: Game Thread
I agree with SportsWorld on this one. This team looks really good, and I think they will only get better. There is so much talent on this roster, but there was last year as well. I think the best additions to this squad were Carcillo and Mayers, who both give us a bit more bite to go with our bark. Brunette is a big guy who can play in front of the net, and I like what I have seen from our new defensemen so far, mainly Montador. I'm not going to go out and predict a cup win this early in the season, but if we can get all of our guys healthy again, I see no reason why we can't be well and truly in contention.
