Lets carry on the momentum from game 7 into this series. I think we can win this. What do you guys think?

I think the Blackhawks got this.

Will be tough, Quick is playing out of his mind, and the Kings just play such a grinding style. Expect to see a boatload of defensive zone trapping. The PP has been rolling, but the Kings have an annoying habit of forming a cocoon around Quick, and blocking everything in sight (though we shouldn't complain. Brent Sopel, anyone?). Hawks need to do precisely what they did against the Wings, and crash the net every chance they get. Quick has an annoying habit of flopping and then bitching to the refs. Just get as much traffic as you can in front of him. Easier done then said, though. Pretty confident the Hawks are going to get killed in the physicality department, especially with mugs like Brown skating around.

Defensively, I'm not that worried. Kings have enough offense to win games as long as their defense is playing well, but don't really have any players that jump out at you. They've had some really good depth scoring these playoffs, though. Think their 2nd line scored the most goals in the SJ series, and their 3rd and 4th lines have also chipped in.

I could see this going to 7 games, with the Blackhawks taking it. Chicago have it all!

Great win! Can't make the same mistake as we did last series. Must push on.

Kings getting murdered right now. Blackhawks better on the forechecking in the 2nd, too. Couple of sloppy line changes from LA, and Sharp just hit the post. This game could've easily been 6 or 7 nothing.

Sucks to lose game 3, but I expected it. The Kings were really under pressure to get the job done and were back at home in front of their fans, so I knew they'd come out strong. Just hope we can take game 4 now and set ourselves up with a 3-1 lead.

Big game tomorrow. I wish we had some traffic on this board. I want to talk NHL and there just isn't many good places for it. I know there are a lot of hockey fans on the Bulls board.

You can head over to secondcityhockey or the committed Indian. Lots of Blackhawks fans on those 2 blogs, and the Indian has easily some of the most insightful posters/writers around. I lurk both blogs all the time.

Anyways, huge win tonight. Not a big fan of the way LA plays hockey, and when their trapping is on point, it gives the Blackhawks a lot of trouble. Quick gave up a couple of soft goals, but I couldn't care less. Teams like LA, you need to play ugly to win against, and the Hawks did that tonight. Hopefully they take care of business, and welcome Boston next week.

We don't want to go back to LA, let alone have a much more rested Bruins team in the Stanley Cup Finals. Finish it off in Game 5. LA will want to come out intense, if we match that intensity we'll have a good night.

HAWKS WIN!!!

Wow, amazing game. Kane was huugge. That goal LA scored at the death just stunned the crap out of everyone, and I thought LA would take it in OT, as they thoroughly outplayed and out hustled the Hawks. They really wanted it. Hawks came out better in the 2nd OT, took some gambles by pinching to get 2 on 1 breaks, and it paid off. Amazing game, bring on Boston.
