Cool welcome! If u want please give us a rundown on "your" Hawks.... Who u like, interest in the prospects perhaps, student of the game, life time hawk fan or new etc.....

Which brings me to my next point.... We are all stupider for having watched that game. We had zero legs guys... We looked old and worn down with little pursuit.... Did u guys notice all of our defenseman standing straight up all game???.... They were completely out of it.

Interesting thing on Runblad that I've discussed a ton already but will say again for the new guy... He is what a coach calls a creeper... He tries to overextend his zone on board battles or even middle issues pucks and it kills us when it comes to the third rotation even if we win the puck thus making a north skate into a bad traffic shot because now the blue line is shifted left middle instead of left right.... It is something I pick up on Everytime and it drives me crazy. His shot is crazy heavy with good late movement and whip so I mean they leave him in when scoring is needed....

This game was horrendous. Just nonsense of urgency and I'm convinced Q would play Crow all 82 games if he could. In no way am I blame Crow. The D is bad (and yes Oduya went down early) and aside from not scoring, they always try and get too fancy with the puck. Crow needs a day off here and there. I thought after Friday's loss that would be today. Just a bad week for the Hawks.

A little about myself: Big time Hawks fan since I was a little kid. I went to my first game in the early 80's (I'm 33 now). I currently like Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabrook, Saad, Shaw, Versteeg & Carcillo the most of the "current Hawks". My all-time favorite Hawks are a lot of the guys I grew up on: Roenick, Chelios, Larmer & Belfour.

I had really nice Hawks teams when I was little til about 12 (I cried when the Pens swept us in 1992 when I was 10). Then there were the "lean years" in between when old man Wirtz was really penny pinching. I remember the ABC Line & Alpo Suhonen quite vividly unfortunately. I used to go to a ton of games from about 1998-2008 because you could get in super cheap (upper level $8 for students or people that could pass for such), so I was quite spoiled then. Now I'm lucky if I can get to 3-5 games per season and it's almost always standing room only now. Which is fine, I wouldn't trade the 2 Cups I've been around for, however, part of me does miss the little secret "club" feeling we did have because I've always enjoyed hockey. It is exciting more than ever now, but some of the "newer" fans do make you want to scream at times, but it comes with the territory.

I'm always interested in the prospects that are closer to or that have been up on the NHL roster. I like right in between both Chicago and Rockford right now, where the AHL affiliate is located, so I am fortunate to at least be able to see all Hawks games on tv and attend both Hawks and IceHogs games when I can. I don't really follow the lower minor league levels like I should. I do plan on making a trip to an Indy Fuel game either this season or next.

The Hawks have always been a very close 2nd in my heart only to the Chicago Bears. Those 2 franchises I've always had a big spot for. Other than that, I like the Bulls & Cubs but don't nearly care about them like the other 2. I think being extremely spoiled growing up with Michael Jordan and the Cubs always being so bad play into that now.

Return to Chicago Blackhawks
