TRADE DEADLINE 2020 RUMORS / DEALS

The NHL deadline is always so late, teams really have a long time to see where they are before actually selling / buying.

As of 1/12/20 the Hawks are the 9th worst in the league... today’s rumor is that the Bruins are looking at Saad. The Hawks would take back Chicago native RHD John Moore (3 / 8 left ) as well as a pick.

I’d be just fine with that deal as long as it’s a 2nd rounder back. Yes a pick in that 57-62 range but that’s fine.

I personally would like to see Crawford, Mattaa, Shaw, Sikura, Krys, Delia, Kampf, and even Keith all be dangled in deals.

not sure if this counts as a trade deadline rumor but I'm seeing a lot of talk about Gerard Gallant and the Hawks... I highly doubt that the Redwings let him out of their sights though....

Well I think that’s it, time to sell. We just lost 3-0 to Nucks after our shooting them 49-20 and HD of 12-5... Dach looked awesome, got robbed a goal and physically has caught up... still, no dice.

Let’s sell, and do this right... we are as of 2-13 the 7th from bottom.... in a once a decade draft!

I’d trade Saad, Gustafson, Caggulia, and Crawford...

Return likely a late 1st (Saad), 2 3rds and 2 mid level 22-24 year old prospects...

And like 10-15 more top tier prospects... even if the hawks pick say 7-12 they will def get an impact player. The top 4 in this draft are 4 #1 type of guys... Lucas Raymond I’m not as sold on, but he could be good as well. Rossi is my guy, we need his speed out there in the middle.

Well we just lost a hard fought game to Winnipeg 3-2... we certainly didn’t play bad - but we did lose to a team ahead of us late in the season and now are getting far away from WC2.

It’s time, deals are happening... and if I were GM looking at this upcoming draft... it’s time.

If Lehner isn’t our long term answer, you trade him or extend him. He would get us a 1st in the 20s and a B+ level prospect from Carolina.

Brandon Saad has good value, he will give a team over 100 games of control in his prime. We also have the 1 season cap flex due to injuries to take back an expiring deal....

I think the deal would be something like Matt Martin (LW expiring) and Casey Cizikas (1 year left 4m C) and taking on that extra year should net us an extra pick say 2020 1st 2021 2nd and a B level D prospect.

I also think trading Gustafson to a team looking for a slight push towards securing a playoff spot could net us a mid-late 2nd.

I also think Dylan Sikura, Anton Wedin, John Quenneville could all be moved in 1 for 1 deals for prospects of like-wise talent.

Overall, I want top 100 picks in this draft.... is it top 12 heavy? Yes!! But picks 13-40 all seem pretty even to me so having extra ammo to move up will be crucial.
