Man, I hate Detroit so badly. So old, and so experienced. So damn good. I can't even be mad.

They really kept their cool, while the young Blackhawks are out there trying to fight, because they are so frustrated.

Good job Detroit for really taking us to school. This is one of those losses, that really teaches you something.

I wasn't even angry during the game today, just kind of resorted myself to the fact that this season wasn't supposed to be "the season" as is. I'll watch Wednesday and if they can bring it back to Chicago, great. If not, job well done.

That was just an embarrassing clear attempt by Ladd.

Great shot by Kane to tie it up.

And how come a Predators fan is the only one posting in this thread right now?

Too nervous to leave the TV? That was a great goal though. Still think the Wings prevail.

Two huge saves by Huet! That second save was amazing.

Lazy feet in overtime so far. Lots of reaching with the stick and not a lot of feet moving.

80% of this series, it was our goalie vs their team.

I can't believe Chicago just let Holmstrom and the rest of the Wings forwards just park in front of the goaltender. You need to knock them out so you can let the goalie see the puck and so they can't try to re-direct pucks.

That's just setting your goalie up to fail.

Good season guys. Congrats on the progress, you guys have a scary-good team going forward. I'm sure that won't be the last time we see a Detroit-Chicago WCF.

That was a really good game.

It's just not the time for the Blackhawks yet. Wings are a really great team and will win the Stanley Cup again.

I thank the Wings for beating us like this, and forcing us to up our game. Wings, look forward to playing the same team that showed up for Game 5, all year long.

Give 'em hell boys next year!

Well, I almost upended a table at Buffalo Wild Wings but I channeled my rage into throwing my Brewers hat to the ground.

I've calmed down since. The series went pretty much as I thought it would although I thought it would make it to six games. The Wings are just too damn good in every aspect of the game. It's still mindboggling that the majority of Hawks fans coveted this rivalry so much that they failed to see how similar of a team Anaheim was to Calgary and Vancouver. The Wings used their experience and capitalized on almost every mistake the Blackhawks made.

This season has greatly exceeded my expectations and this series will certainly help this team in the growing process. I thought they'd make it to the playoffs before this season and go out in the first round. To make it this far with this young squad, I don't think it's that psychotic to say that next season this team can make it to the Finals if not win it.

Thanks for an unbelievable season, Hawks, and I cannot wait until September.

Yeah it's not crazy to think this team could win it all next year. I think Havlat will come back and he may even take a paycut to come back. He seems to love the city and why would you want to leave this team now?

Return to Chicago Blackhawks
