A friend of a friend of a friend of mine was at the Pony bar this morning and took this picture. The bar is on Belmont and is a place that a lot of the hawks go to hang out. Apparently Toews got out of a limo that had at least one stripper in it. I couldn’t be any more proud of him!

I can't sleep. I'm still on a high.

I'm pretty sure the puck landed on the camera in the back center of the net. I'm about 51% sure. If you watch closely you can see it go around and land on that box. But I'm probably wrong!

Damnit! Haha. I looked like that's what happened the first time I saw it so I convinced myself everytime I watched the highlight.

I love my mom, and here's why:

She's a nervous sports fan, so she flips back and forth between games like this. So, she spent most of the night watching Sleepless in Seattle and flipping back to the Hawks game. The problem here is that I set to DVR the game since I was at work and my father, also at work, would not be able to watch it. Since our DVR is a bit sketchy, it decided to record Sleepless In Seattle instead of the game. First Stanley Cup in nearly 50 years...movie my mom has seen dozens of times. Makes sense to me.

The bright side is that I set to record half hour after the scheduled end so I got overtime and the trophy stuff, but my father is SOL. And he's not pleased.

Jay Leno is going to do something in honor of the Blackhawks tonight. Will be my 2nd time watching since Conan left. The other time was when the Blackhawks were in studio.

He's going to show the clip from when the Blackhawks were in studio and make some stupid remark and yelling it for more emphasis. Count on it.

The parade was awesome. Got a good spot close to the stage for the rally. It was really hot and humid and it sucked standing for 4-5 hours but it was well worth it.

They estimated that 2,000,000 people were at the parade but there's no way there was that many. Maybe take a 0 off that number.

200,000 - 2,000,000

That gap is about as wide as your moodswings

They inflate the estimate always here. I remember when they did the same thing for the White Sox thing and it ended being only a couple hundred thousand. There was still a s***load of people there. Pretty amazing day other than the fact that half of the players were completely wasted.

There is no way there were only 200,000 people there. There was close to 2 million, just like there was close to the 1.75 million the White Sox got.

I'm not complaining at all. There was a lot of people there. I was in the front so there was no way for me to get a feel for exactly how huge the crowd was and TV can't do it justice because the parade went around a corner. But I'm not the only one questioning the amount of people they say was there.

So am I the only one watching Leno tonight? Cool seeing some of the Blackhawks on Leno. I normally don't watch him but thought his monologue was pretty funny.
