Team is fighting for the playoffs and in the middle of the Western Conference pack. Go Hawks!

Hawks up 4-1 over the Red Wings in the 3rd. This would be a huge win.

Coulda used the win against philly today, would've been nice to gain a little in the WC points race. Ah well, Bears aren't looking so hot for now either...smh

The officials were awful last night but we had 5 chances on the powerplay and failed each time including on a 50 second 5 on 3.

Not excusing us for the loss, cause as you said, we had a good amount of chances, but the refs definitely made life more difficult and a couple of the calls/non-calls were real momentum changers.

The Hawks can't seem to get consistant effort from game to game. This team is definately not making the playoffs despite the talent on this team. Which is a shame cause this team would be dangerous in the playoffs.

definitely not making the playoffs is a bit of a stretch, but the inconsistency is getting pretty bad, there's still time left in the season, but if the Hawks don't start playing like a playoff team night in and night out, we'll dig ourselves a hole and with the playoff race as tight as it is you can't fall behind too much

A loss Wednesday and I'll be quite concerned

Yea, a loss to Edmonton would definitely make things worse, but maybe it'd light a fire under their ass seeing them 5-7 points out of 8th seed(and probably as many teams in between them and that spot) and realize there's less than 30 games left in the season.

Hawks traded Skille and two prospects to Florida for Michael Frolik and a goalie prospect. Very, very good deal, Frolik has been great in his early career and he's only 22. Skille needs a change of scenery. And maybe the best news, this gets Kopecky off of the second line.

Brouwer-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Frolik-Hossa

Helluva top six. Now, rid of Nick Boynton as soon as you can.

This team is so frustrating. I'm convinced they need to move everyone not named Toews (and obviously the bad contracts).

Hawks/Hurricanes tonight. This should be our 7th win a row especially at home. Keep it rolling.
