The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to terms with forward and alternate captain Patrick Sharp on a five-year contract extension.
Annual cap hit on Patrick Sharp's five-year extension is $5.9M.

A big chunk of change, but he's worth it. When I first saw the numbers my initial reaction was that it was too much. Then I looked at his numbers and realized that even I still underrate him.

Plus, look at that face.

:lol: I know exactly what you mean - my ex thought (and probably still does think, for all I know) that Sharp is amazingly attractive. If you ask me, I guess he looks ok. Back on topic though, I know what you mean regarding overlooking Sharp. When we have guys like Toews and Kane who come in and look awesome from a young age, it's easy to forget about the steady production of a veteran like Sharp. If he can keep up the level of play he has shown in the last year or so for the next 5 years, then I am very happy with this contract.
