Are the final 3 games "must wins"?

Post#1 » by ADDinChicago » Mon Apr 6, 2015 9:18 am

With the Hawks fighting for potential home ice and a division title, with tonight's loss at home to the Blues, are the final 3 games "must wins"? Or do you guys not really care about seeding because it's the NHL and if they were to win the division, it's a potential series with the Jets or Wild, whom have both played the Hawks hard this season?

Personally, I would like to see them have the highest spot available and home ice as long as possible.

I'm not too worried about where they finish in the playoff seedings, but I do think that these games are must wins. The reason for that being that I want this team to hit the playoffs in good form and on a roll. If we lose these games, then we're going into the playoffs in a form slump and with lowered morale, and the playoffs are not a time where you want to be trying to turn around bad form.

Not at all.... This is hockey and seeding and home ice etc is no where big of a deal as it is in most sports..... In basketball or football u can hear the crowd but with all the skating puck whizzing by and hitting its hard to hear much else.... Kings won as an 8 seed I believe and that is just par for the course.... It's all about matchups and I'd prefer Canucks but who knows maybe this is the matchup tonight

I'd like to also point out we have clinched MOST of our series on the road including both cups

I get what you're saying G, and I have no doubt that once the playoffs start it's anyone's game. Still though, wouldn't you feel at least a little bit more comfortable going into the playoffs on a winning streak?

The Hawks had the luxury of clinching those 2 Cups on the road because of having home ice and less pressure.

Still did it on the road, which is super hard (that's what she said)...... Sorry couldn't resist I married a European woman and these jokes go nowhere lol.

Also Kane working to get back least we forget... He was leading the league in points before he was injured so we will have a completely different setup in our top 6 when back.... So two 1 goal loses aren't going to tell us much at this stage IMO
