Well Detroit just got their next superstar....

And for another year the ducks get a defenseman that fits us perfectly... Shea Theodore last time

Really don't like marner..... Bust

Rantanen at 10 great value

Buffalo had a fantastic day

Barzal is a nice fit, could be a good top 6 one day

Word is Pitt still looking at sharp and my heart stopped when they announced a trade at torontos 29.... Maybe we can get their new 34?????

Only Roy available out of my top 15... And I sooooooo called it on Samsanov.... He was most projections the 3-5th rated goalie likely drafted 50-70 range..... I knew he was number 1.... Kid is a real nasty piece of work too... Super cocky

So buffalo gave up the farm for O'Reilly... I think ROR is a good player and a really nice 2nd line center and only 24 but man they gave up like the last 2-3 years of top picks for him.... Colorado scored big time in my book for what amounts to a 1 year rental

I'm looking real hard at torontos 34th pick here guys

Eddie lack from Van to Carolina for a 3rd and 7th next year

Word is BOS offered Hamilton for number 3 and also CBJ offered a ton for 3 and every time AZ thought Strome was better

I personally think Strome is a risk and he could either be really good or just average... I also think he would be a better LW than the center position he occupies

Blackhawks select LW Graham Knott from OHL

Big left winger came out this year with something to prove and tripled his goal scoring from a year ago

Projects as a big winger that protects well and embraces physical checks, has a great reach and shows ability to be a two way power forward

This is a really good pick guys... Very nice first selection

No deals for us :(

Niemi to Dallas

Jena Looke just went before our pick :( I was really hoping he fell that far

Let's hope Austin Wagner makes it to 91!

Btw want to discuss Bostons picks here

13 J Z
14. debrusk
15 ZS

All 3 of these guys are good players with the last 2 likely picked end of first to early second.... Shocked they couldn't package 14/15 to get 5 or 6 and take Hanafin or Zacha which could be stars

They took brandon carlo and then karlsson and lauzon in 2nd

These 6 guys are going to define this team for the future.... I actually think Carlo is the best pick of any of them and could be a number 1 defenseman moving forward. Karlsson I like but not sure he fits what they like to do and I'm a lil less familiar with lauzon which isn't a good thing lol

Tomek just went 1 pick before us argggggg,,,,,,,

We select Dennis Gilbert a blue liner from Kaner's hometown

Big with good frame already 6'2 201 and plays for the steel so of course we know him.... Rated by many in that 60-70 range so good value.... Will play for Notre dame too so again a staff we know really well.

Shoots left and skates well, not an offensive type but moves the puck well and catches up to skaters with good strides

It's a good pick, just one that will take the Stephen johns slow train for sure

Just took Ryan Shea another Dman.... Very different than Gilbert.... More slight and is all about skating and playing his zones... Was pegged to be another BC or BU great but picked northeastern instead

Skates very well and has a good IQ for his positioning but not sure he is an all around player

Gotta say I think Zacha is even better than my first look.... He could be a star in NJ

Should be one of the guys playing right away

What do u guys think on Eichel - CMD stats?

CMD - 75 games 19goals - 44 assists - 63 points - team 92 points
Eichel - 78 games 23 goals - 32 assists - 55 points - team 89 points

Good years

Just took Rada Bondra... A huge RW... Actually plays more of a puck control game than ud think given his size 6'5 and actually shys on contact a little... Ranked much higher than our 151 take but only average production so far

Needs confidence in his size and refinement in his shot IMO but has an above average handle and puck control for a tall winger and needs to fill in his frame more

Intriguing guy, not sure he'll "get it" in terms of contact

Got Roy Radke another good sized winger / Chicago land native and just finished first year at Barrie.... Likely a year behind in his projected play as he is about a year older than most and his adjustments to the OHL were slow at first...

A good net presence winger needs to work on board battles and should see more ice time next season..... Total project IMO but the size and knack to find the puck is there

Tuulola is markos son btw.... He is an offensive Dman and is a late grower and doesn't know his body at all yet... Coming off an injury and doesn't know his zones or his defensive assignments at all.... He is a total project but he loves the game and the natural ability is there....

Last pick--- john Dahlstrom swede playing the wing but IMO may have center traits

Total goal scorer but is a little out of the loop last year so slipped to 7th round

Great last pick.....

Dmen and wingers.... That's all we drafted lol... No centers no goalies... We drafted size for sure

Raanta to NYR for winger Ryan Haggerty

Seems like Haggerty is a solid player (22).... Has gotten better each of last 3 years at RPIE

Looking through the drafts...

Gotta say the Kings killed it.... They get my A+ especially if you factor in Lucic

They got strength size and skill and Austin Wagner is an insane steal that late

Our draft was decent, hard to see us pass up Looke, Kylington and Tomek at 54

Thanks for the draft breakdown mate. Big wingers and blueliners... makes sense I guess if we plan on using all of Teuvo, McNeill, Danault, etc at centre.
