Well they tried and tried for months maybe even a year to move him so I suppose this was inevitable...

Makes the space for Tik and Panarin, Garbutt, Hags, Hartman.... We have so much wing depth it's scary

Bad contract, lack of production & vertigo issues. Amazing no one wanted to trade for him...

Yep, had a terrible contract, didn't produce anywhere near his paycheck, and now the health stuff... I'm glad to see this happen, but wish the guy the best for the future. Hope he can get his health sorted out.

Not sure why that is. Bickell has cleared waivers now and has about 4 weeks where we can send him to Rockford without him needing to clear waivers again.

The Hawks also might be putting him on long-term IR they said this morning on WGN.

That would make sense, I guess. If he gets his health right, he can still be s handy player, although not worth what he's paid.
