Well as I and the 3 other people on here predicted.....Bowman’s bone head moves all backfired. Panarin for Saad, Jalmer gone, bring back pants less pat... yea not good.... your prize: rebuild an aging core all getting paid while shedding useful contracts combined with overpaid players to be able to move on guys you want... oh and you have to hit on all your picks.

The way I see this draft is this: it’s a clear top 7 and we pick 8th!

1. Svenhnikov -insane talent, has star DNA
2. Dahlin - steady, cerebral passing, good not great in all phases
3. Bouchard - dominant two way D that dominated in OHL
4. Keith’s son Brady Tkachuk - mentally above / plays D and physical
5. Zadina - 1 year production and has plus shot / skating OK
6. Wahlstrom - killed lower level comp / big risk in comp jump
7. Boqvist - small D / can skate and move it - size a killer though

After that there is a big meh of Dmen like Smith, Dobs, and Hughes which is where hawks will likely pick from... I LOVE my top 4guys like crazy.... they are going to step right in and kill it.

If Bouchard makes it to 5 I’d give up 31 to move up 3spots for him.... he is a clear #1 D man - I almost like him better than Dahlin but Rasmus can really skate and pass so I think EB is #2

FWIW if those 7 go top 7 then I’d take Dobson in a heart beat - he is VERY SIMILAR TO SEABROOK at the same stage... he play the point perfectly in the Q and really racked up numbers - he is basically a seabrook type of guy right when we need a young Seabs

Draft is now live - Sabres about to take Dahlin... whom physically looks stronger

Buffalo has a ton of young talent - they could have an outlier Edmonton type of year quickly

Big elephant is the Panarin news obviously - wonder if he wants to come back

Caps loae trots and just traded G Grubauer and D Orpik for a pick to Avs - shocking to be honest - they just gave up a ton of depth

Canes up: has to be Svench

For the Hawks I think the expectation is Wahlstrom but I think if Bouchard is there you jump out yo seat and if neither I like Dobson - I think you cringe if it’s Hughes or tiny Boqvist

Like to point out to my excitement about Henri last year was on point as he has proven to be a top 10 NHL prospect this year - he could be up 2019

I’ll dive into more but Boqvist and Beaudin are our 2main guys here.... both smaller D and fall right in line with the speed puck game that the NHL has fallen into... at the same end though is the thought that a big 2 way point man like Bouchard whom is a full year older than most and has been the leader on and off for friggin LK! And he slides to 10when to me he is the clear #3 guy on the board! Dobson went 12 and the Islanders get trotz wahlstrom and Dobson lol and likely will keep Tav but I think Sharks have a shot at him

The goalies were all over the place - I’m good with AG late but I really see Anaheim’s 3rd rounder as thee guy in this class.. rangers and Islanders really killed it and wow were there some terrible choices in this draft... reminded me of the Anthony Bennett draft 5 years ago. Arizona took Barrett Hayten 5th!! To me, he was a late 1st early 2nd
