NHL.com - Chicago Blackhawks forward Rene Bourque will miss at least a month after breaking his thumb during Saturday night's 5-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Bourque added two short-handed goals and an assist during the game, but injured his thumb while blocking a shot in the third period.

So far this season, the 25-year-old has three goals, all short-handed. He's also added five assists for eight points in 16 games.

We won't miss him that much. He hasn't been that good all season excluding the recent games. His size will be missed out there though. But we may get more help with Havlat coming back maybe next game. And Koci will be back soon as well. I want to see some good fights!
