Going for a franchise record win streak. We always have trouble in Minnesota though. :-?

Yeah, for some reason I remember the last game up there as being the game where we had the toughest time all season getting any scoring chances.

If the Hawks keep playing with the same confidence then they should have little trouble finding scoring opportunities, no matter the opponent.

thats because Minnesota plays a trap system.

They try to minimize goals against and capitalize on turn overs... almost all of their wins are like... 2-1, 1-0, 3-2. etc.

Minnesota is an absolute bore to watch, but they get the job done and have done it against the Blackhawks in the past.

This will be a tough one. If the Hawks can get the puck into the Wild zone with frequency then they should be able to pull this one out. Can't dance around the neutral zone all game.

4-1 W, 9 straight. I could only watch the 1st Period, have the last two recorded, but a friend of mine said the Wild were essentially shut down in the 3rd Period. Outshooting them 15-4 in the 1st Period was utterly surprising.

Boy is this team good.

No, that's not true. Minnesota came out and carried the play for a lot of the 3rd period.

Certainly to start the period. I should have known, this friend of mine knows very little about hockey. The 2nd Period was a much better display of defense and not allowing the Wild any sort of entrance into the Hawks zone. The Hawks looked like the Wild in the 2nd Period.
