The Blackhawks confirmed Wednesday that newly-signed winger Marian Hossa has a shoulder injury, the extent of which is uncertain.
``He’s rehabbing and we’re monitoring it,’’ a Hawks’ spokesman said. ``We knew about it when we signed him.’’
Hossa scored 40 goals for the Detroit Red Wings last season but his play tailed off in the Stanley Cup playoffs, suggesting the injury may have occurred during postseason play.
The Hawks signed Hossa, 30, to a 12-year $62.8 million contract -- the biggest in franchise history -- on July 1.
Fun, fun, fun.
